A team of researchers recently discovered an ancient complex of pyramids and various structures in a remote part of the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador.
They documented everything as best they could, taking some photos of strange structures and artifacts and filming a couple of videos.
This ancient city, which was built and inhabited by giants, was often mentioned by the natives living in the region, but no one dared to search for the lost city before.
But hold on for a second, the giants are not real …
Ancient Ecuadorian legends talk about the ancient cities of giants, long abandoned by the inhabitants, but little by little the once majestic cities were either destroyed under the influence of the environment, or nature carefully masked all traces.
In fact, not only do local tribes talk about giants that once lived here, but tribes throughout the Amazon Basin remember this ancient race who built prosperous cities long before ordinary people arrived in the area.
Similar stories can be found all over the planet, no matter where we are: from Patagonia to North America, from Europe to Asia, everywhere we find ancient texts and oral legends that mention creatures of enormous size living on Earth in the distant past.
And it was these legends that inspired a group of explorers to travel to a remote part of the Ecuadorian Amazon to find the "Lost City of Giants".

It is said that several tribes used the city of giants as a traditional place of worship for their spirits, it is believed that this is where they live.
The site was sacred to the locals, and they speak of the ancient builders with a mixture of fear and respect.
Natural education or not?
The reason for this attitude towards the builders became clear as soon as the team realized the presence of ancient megalithic structures on this site.
The largest structure found by the researchers was a pyramid 80 meters high and 80 meters wide, with too much slope to be considered a natural formation.
It was built using hundreds of large irregular stones, each weighing about 2 tons.
At the top of the structure is a flat area that could be used as a ceremonial or sacrificial platform.
Researchers found many artifacts carved from stone near the pyramid.
“It looks like a paved wall, an old street, or a 60-degree square, perhaps a larger roof,” said French-American archaeologist Benoit Duvernay.
"Many of the stones were perfectly aligned, had sharp edges and appeared to have been sculpted by a human hand."
The top layer of the soil retained the smooth surface of the stones. He also showed the presence of a cementitious substance used to hold boulders together.
Judging by the apparent ancient age of the ruins, this may be the first example of concrete use in America.
Apparently, the builders of this ancient citadel had engineering knowledge long before our time.
Cold shower
While the researchers were stunned by the results they received while exploring the "lost city of giants," the government finally decided to investigate the city with its team of experts.
As Bruce Fenton noted on Earth4all.net, "It was concluded by an official Ecuadorian government panel that the city looks completely natural."
For Benoit Duvernay, Fenton and their colleagues were dealt a terrible blow that buried their hopes that the found city would be excavated and explored.
But even though the government deemed the site a natural formation unworthy of further study, the team continued their research and discovered more “artificially created structures” near the infamous megalithic site.
The team noticed several instrumental objects of ridiculous sizes and strange artifacts protruding from the ground.
As their search for evidence continued, they came across perfectly rectangular blocks, a step of blocks, smooth stone cladding and curiously shaped stones and a cement-clay mixture that may have been used in the construction.
So far, no further progress has been made, and the discovery of what was once considered a historical discovery was quickly overshadowed by controversy and government reluctance to delve into archeology, although government agencies wanted to dig, but for the OIL.
Today we only have a few images and a few videos that prove that the long-lost city of giants exists in a hard-to-reach part of the Ecuadorian Amazon.
