The cylindrical UFO was filmed by an amateur astronomer in Kentucky. Several eyewitnesses, also observing the aircraft, told police that the object was emitting a bright glow.

Astronomer Allen Ipling was at home on October 16, receiving guests, when suddenly one of the guests drew the attention of the owner of the house to a strange luminous object hovering in the sky.

Ipling took a telescope to examine the unusual phenomenon, and a video camera with which he was filming what was happening.

“The object was like two fluorescent lamps in parallel. He resembled a star with an unusually bright light. I am sure that this is not an airplane, because that day there was a clear, cloudless sky, which made it possible to clearly see the unknown device,”explains the amateur astronomer.

Allen posted a video of the UFO on YouTube, wanting to hear the opinions of other people.

“I want to emphasize that the object was stationary. The illusion that he was moving arose from the trembling of the hand in which I held the video camera. It was rather uncomfortable for me, because I was simultaneously filming a UFO and looking at it through a telescope,”Ipling added to his video with such a comment.

Kentucky police told News-Express that they received five calls from residents of different cities in the state.

All eyewitnesses claimed that on October 16, there was a cylindrical UFO in the sky, glowing so brightly that it was impossible to observe it for a long time.

Representatives of the US Department of Defense and the Kentucky National Guard said they had no information about cases of the appearance of unknown flying objects over the state, and on October 16, they did not notice any anomalies in the sky.

The police, who listened carefully to Allen Ipling's story, suggested that the astronomer was mistaken and mistook the balloon for a UFO. Such explanations do not suit a man who is confident that he is still able to distinguish an aeronautical apparatus from a luminous cylindrical object.

“If this is a balloon, how can it maintain its structure at such a height? And I argue that the craft hovering in the sky was not an airplane. And a helicopter like this object simply does not exist,”Ipling reasonably noted.
