On the evening of December 26, 2016, a married couple stopped in a parking lot at a roadside diner near Melville, New York, and saw a stationary luminous object high in the sky (see video below).
It was a foggy and rainy day, according to eyewitnesses who sent a statement to the World UFO Network (MUFON). The visibility was almost zero. However, in the west, a UFO hovered with two large and two vertical bright red lights, from which a red glow rose in the gray fog.
A dark vertical part of the body was visible at the bottom of the object, and another dim light source was on the left.
“We watched the object for 4 minutes and I recorded a video and took a photo on my mobile phone,” wrote one eyewitness.
After 30 minutes, when they left the diner, the unidentified object had already disappeared in an unknown direction.
“I don't think it could have been a drone. It was raining heavily, it is unlikely that anyone could launch their apparatus in such weather,”added an eyewitness.
