We learn about medieval history through chronicles, old paintings, sometimes icons and engravings, which were popular in the 16th century. One of the engravings is called the Battle of Nuremberg, it depicts celestial bodies in the form of modern atoms, crosses, fighting between each other. What could it be? Let's take a look at the main theories together.
Most often in the Middle Ages, prints served as a kind of newspapers in which artists depicted news that occurred at one time or another. One of these news prints was "The Battle of Nuremberg" dated April 4, 1561. In the engraving, the sky is filled with luminous balls, various objects of a strange shape. The UFOs appear to have emerged from elongated cylindrical objects with circular holes in the center of this battle with a strangely shaped Sun.
The Nuremberg newspapers described a terrible event, the sunrise was marked by a battle between cylindrical objects, and the sky was filled with cylindrical pipes. Between the luminous objects, there were blood-red crosses. At the end of the battle, large objects appeared, such as the black spear at the bottom of the engraving.
Newspapers also warned devout readers:
To date, the most plausible version of what happened is the "false sun". When through ice crystals in the atmosphere, as through a prism, many shades of the sun are reflected, surrounded by halos. And because of the refraction of light, they can appear red and move through the air and seem to collide with each other.
