Having studied the data collected by the Cassini space probe, scientists have come to an unexpected conclusion - in the near future, rings such as those of the planet Saturn may form around the Earth.

In the future, rings like Saturn may appear around our planet. Space researchers came to the corresponding conclusion after analyzing the data collected by the Cassini probe, which has been exploring the gas giant for thirteen years.

Scientists recalled that several planets of the solar system have rings: Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus. Also, planets in other galaxies and even some asteroids have rings.

Experts note that the Moon is constantly moving away from the Earth, but our planet will not let go of its natural satellite far. Scientists predict that when the Moon moves a great distance from the Earth, it will simply explode due to the Earth's gravity. Small fragments from the earth's satellite will later become "donors" for the rings.

Astronomers also claim that there were rings in the distant past and the planet Mars used to have rings. It was from them, according to scientists, that the satellites Deimos and Phobos were formed over time.
