Xiaoshan Airport in Hangzhou, eastern China's Zhejiang province, was closed for an hour after an unidentified flying object (UFO) appeared in its area, local media reported Thursday
As a spokesman for the airport told reporters, the UFO was seen at about 21:00 local time (17:00 Moscow time) on Wednesday. In this regard, all flights en route to Hangzhou were directed to neighboring airports.
After the announcement of the reason for the delay in departure and landing of flights, all passengers and employees who were at the airport poured out onto the street, but could not see the UFO, Interfax reports.
An airport spokesman explained to reporters that the UFO could only be seen with instruments. An hour after closing, the airport returned to normal operations. A study of the circumstances has begun.
Note that meetings with “aliens” at airports have already been recorded, but before they tried not to attract increased attention.
So, in 1992, two dispatchers at London Heathrow Airport reported that they saw a large triangular black object that did not move at first, and then flew away. This became known only after the relevant materials of the Ministry of Defense were declassified last year.
And in 1991, at the same airport, an Alitalia plane almost collided with an unidentified flying object. On approaching the airport, the pilots noticed an object resembling a rocket, which flew near their liner. Neither civilian specialists nor the military were able to determine what kind of object it was.
