Employees of the Sverdlovsk Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, including search and rescue teams, as well as the police and investigators were not aware of the new riddle presented by Mount Kholat-Chakhl (from the Mansiysk - Mountain of the Dead, tragically known for its Dyatlov pass), where in the second half of July a new an abandoned camp and personal belongings of unknown travelers scattered around

“The Ivdel police did not receive any information about the discovery of suspicious things. Now they will try to verify this information, said Nina Pelevina, deputy head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region. Roughly the same thing was repeated in the press service of the Sverdlovsk Department of the Emergencies Ministry.

The strange find became known a few days ago, after the tourists from Chelyabinsk returned from a trip to the north of the Sverdlovsk region. “On July 20, 2012 we returned from Manpupuner. On the way back, we passed not along the traditional route (through the Dyatlov pass), but through Holat-Chakhl and Saklaimsori-Chakhl. Between these two mountains there are beautiful rocks in the form of an amphitheater. Under them were found a torn gable tent, a rolled-up sleeping bag (torn a little by animals), a torn backpack, KLM (mug, spoon, bowl, - ed.), Personal items (socks, a first-aid kit, a bowler hat for one person, matches, sneakers, a passport cover, a good video camera and a camera in wardrobe trunks, a wallet with a change and a key, canned food, etc.). No big money, passport, warm clothes were found. There are no tapes in the videocassette and the camera ,- the tourist Valentina Shved wrote on one of the forums (spelling and punctuation of the author are preserved).

Among the papers, the Chelyabinsk residents found printouts of 2008, indicating the preparation of a campaign to Altai. In particular, the food layout with a list of the names of the participants: Bobylev, Pereskokov, Dengin and Bychkunov.

The tourists, according to them, reported the find to the Ivdel search and rescue team. However, the officer on duty told the correspondent that he was hearing about this information for the first time.

Meanwhile, on the local forum "Teron.ru", the user "Leon" reported that he saw these things in 2011 and even managed to call whoever they belonged to. But this story with a strange find did not add clarity. “We took a passport, 3 rubles of money, a notebook, a videotape from the camera. The mood after that stop was spoiled until the end of the hike - I walked and thought how I write a statement to the police “we such and such, while on the route such and such, there we found the following things …” it seemed like the torn body of this lonely tourist. Then, upon arrival, I figured out his number in the book and got through. it is one of those listed. I asked him not to mention, they say I have been walking for a long time, but here it is such an embarrassment that it is already inconvenient in front of my comrades. We sent our things to him later, as we exchanged addresses. In general, the muddy man turned out to be. I walked without gps, where I did not go, I left without maps.“I went to the point, got lost in the fog”. Slippery somehow explains everything from direct questions, dodges ", - described the results of this conversation" Leon "(spelling and punctuation of the author are preserved).

The Mountain of the Dead gained immense fame in the winter of 1959, when a group of tourists disappeared in its vicinity. What exactly happened then remains a mystery to this day. It is known that on January 23, 1959, a group of students led by an experienced tourist Igor Dyatlov went on a ski trip in the Sverdlovsk region. A week later, on February 1, the group stopped on the slope of Mount Kholat-Chakhl, not far from the nameless pass, which later received the name Dyatlov.

It was expected that on February 12 the group would reach the village of Vizhai, from where it would send a telegram to the institute. However, no one showed up there. Search and rescue operations began on February 20. On February 26, an empty tent with a wall cut from the inside was found, in which equipment, outerwear and shoes of tourists were left. The first bodies were found the next day. Someone died from hypothermia, someone had head injuries, and one of the girls had her tongue cut off.

The reason why the students left the tent in their underwear remains a mystery to this day. Assumptions are very different - from an avalanche to a meeting with a bear and the impact of infrasound. There are criminal versions (for example, an attack by fugitive prisoners) and conspiracy versions (testing a secret weapon, meeting with agents of foreign intelligence).

Of course, it is not complete without assumptions about the paranormal: the group allegedly stumbled upon some artifacts and was destroyed by their owners or became a victim of Bigfoot, the spirit of the mountain or UFO
