Have you ever had this: you look at a photo of a classmate on social networks or furtively scrutinize him at a meeting of graduates, and think: “Lord, how old you are! He wrinkled, turned gray, hunched over, became shorter …”Indeed, some people age faster, others slower. You probably already know that there is a chronological age (how long lived) and biological (how much the body feels). Sometimes they match, sometimes they don't. So at 70, you can be quite 47-year-old.
Today I will introduce you to the results of an experiment that showed how the rate of aging is related to the size of a person. That is, with its height, weight, fat and muscle mass.
The research was organized by Lyudmila Sindeeva, Doctor of Medical Sciences from Krasnoyarsk. She was the first scientist to compare the physique of men with their biological age.
L. V. Sindeeva Associate Professor of the Krasnoyarsk Medical University.
1700 representatives of the stronger sex at the age from 17 to 89 became the participants of the experiment. The volunteers were divided into 3 groups. The first included those who age slowly, the second included men whose biological and chronological ages coincide, and the third included people with accelerated aging of the body.

Results:
1. Grow old faster
The average height of men, whose bodies are in a hurry to get old, was 176.5 centimeters. This is almost 2 centimeters more than that of their compatriots, whose body and organs are in no hurry to part with their youth.
2. Severe
This is where the difference is more noticeable. The average weight of participants in group No. 3 exceeds 83 kilograms. For group No. 2, this figure is 71 kg. But the “youth team” turned out to be the lightest! Average weight - 67.8 kg.
3. Fatty people age faster
Between people who age slowly and those whose biological age coincides with the chronological age, there is a draw in this category. Their fat mass is 18-19% of their body weight. But in the experimental group No. 3, this figure is close to 24%.
Also, Sindeeva's studies show that bone mass (relative to body weight) in rapidly aging men is less than in those whose body is better able to withstand age-related changes.
How old do you feel yourself?
