Among the numerous prophets of the 19th century, William John Warner stands out. With the help of palmistry and clairvoyance, he solved dozens of crimes, predicted world cataclysms, the fate of kings. The accuracy of his predictions is still not explained by modern science. Guessing by the palm, he became famous under the name Heiro (Hand), which he took as a hallmark of his talent.
Astral connection with the daughter of Akhenaten
William John Warner was born on November 1, 1866 in the Irish town of Bray in the family of a poor landowner and a Spanish gypsy who found herself in this backwater with a traveling circus. Mother, of course, knew how to read the lines of the hand and taught her son the wisdom of palmistry.
Somehow noticing that the cross-shaped spot on the left hand of her son had grown greatly, she declared: “You will become a great soothsayer. But for this you need to visit our ancestral home - in India. These words sank into the soul of the boy, who by the age of ten had become a school celebrity: he constantly surprised his classmates and teachers with the ability to read lines on the palms.
After the death of his mother, withering away in the harsh Irish climate, William ran away from home and went to London, where he worked as an apprentice with the fortuneteller Greg Dawson. Well, then, as he himself wrote in his memoirs, “without thinking twice about the risks and extremely insignificant cash, he became a passenger on a merchant ship sailing to India, and after a boring voyage he reached the legendary Bombay. There I was able to get acquainted with a special sect of Brahmins, whose ancestors, thousands of years before the Christian era, created and developed the Samudrik vault - the science of interpreting the lines of the body. Later, an offshoot of "Khastyrik" was formed - the science of interpreting the lines of the hand."
On the way back, William visited Egypt, and in order to earn a ticket to London, he had to open a fortune-telling salon in his room in a Cairo hotel. To his surprise, there was no end of clients! William soon bought not only a ticket to England, but also the hand of an ancient mummy. In the above-mentioned memoirs, he wrote that it was the hand of Princess Maketaton, daughter of Pharaoh Akhenaten, with whom he had an astral connection. It was then that William Warner took the pseudonym Heiro, under which he went down in history.

And the glory found him
Returning to London, he first tried his hand at journalism. But, alas, the editors of newspapers and magazines returned his articles with the postscript: "Your style does not meet our requirements."
And it was here that an event occurred that brought Heiro himself, and not his opuses, to the front pages of newspapers.
In one of the apartments of the house in which he lived, the police found a body. Heiro left his room at the noise and offered his help. After examining the murderer's bloody handprint on the doorframe, and then the victim's palm, he declared:
“The killer is a young man. A close relative of the victim. The index finger bears a signet ring.
By these signs the criminal was quickly figured out: he turned out to be … the victim's son. And glory came to Heiro!
Eminent clients reached out to him. One of them was Lord Arthur James Balfour, for whom the palmist had read the prime minister's seat. Great was the surprise of Balfour, who actually received this post. When the police threatened Heiro with prosecution under a law that had banned divination since Henry VIII, Lord Balfour made it clear that the law enforcement officers should leave the "remarkable man" alone.
What Oscar Wilde's palm told
Heiro became a regular in the fashionable salons of Victorian England. Once the mistress of one of them, Blanche Roosevelt, "accidentally" brought the soothsayer together with the famous writer and playwright Oscar Wilde. The skeptical author of The Portrait of Dorian Gray asked Mrs. Roosevelt to hide him behind a curtain during the session. But Heiro, just looking at the palms of the stranger, prophesied:
- Hands are amazing and belong to an amazing person. The left one is the hand of the creator and promises unprecedented success. But on the right hand you can see that all this will end in one terrible day.
- When will this happen? Asked Wilde, not visible to him.
- After few years. When you are under forty.
Wilde, coming out of his hiding place, laughed at Heiro. The other guests also made fun. It was unthinkable to imagine that the career of a writer, bathed in bright rays of glory, could end so immediately.
But Heiro was right: in 1895, Wilde was sentenced to two years in hard labor. Triumph and glory for him really faded in one day.
Monarchs are not immune from fate
Our hero prophesied an even more bitter fate to Lord Horatio Herbert Kitchener (1850–1916). Heiro first announced that the lord would become a field marshal and minister of war. However, according to him, in the 66th year of his life, Kitchener was expected to die on the water. 22 years later, the Minister of War at the age of 66 died while aboard the ship "Hampshire", which was blown up by a German mine.
Heiro did not bypass the attention of the English monarchs. This is how the soothsayer himself described his meeting with King Edward VII (1841-1910).
“It happened under the following circumstances,” we read in the palmist's memoirs. “One of my clients invited me to a dinner party … She took me to a smoking room at the end of the corridor.
“I want you to do me a favor,” said the lady. - Get behind this curtain. A man will come up to you now … You can tell him whatever you deem necessary.
Not knowing who my charge was, I worked with the same calmness as in my salon. Probably, this situation amused my "client" … Finally, I began to indicate the important years in his life and list possible events. Its important numbers were six and nine … The stranger leaned against the curtain, the hairpins fell, and with them the fabric partition. I found myself face to face with His Majesty."
As the numerologist-palmist determined, the numbers 6 and 9 were the main ones in the life of the king. Edward VII died at the age of 69.
Heiro presented no less accurate prediction to Edward VIII (1894-1972). In 1926, the soothsayer told him: "Your Majesty, for the sake of love you will renounce the English throne." The Crown Prince doubted the prediction, and, as it turned out, in vain.
In 1930, Edward met an American woman named Wallis Simpson; a romance began. By that time, this socialite had already been married twice. In 1936, she filed for divorce with the intention of marrying Edward, who by then had become king. However, being twice divorced, Wallis had no chance of becoming the British queen.
Although the couple belonged to the highest aristocracy, it was not until 1967 that they were invited to participate in official ceremonies along with other members of the royal family.
And after that, how can you relate to Heiro's predictions ?!
Knife, poison and bullet for Rasputin
The prophecies made in Russia, which Heiro visited in 1907, turned out to be no less terrible and true. Meeting with Emperor Nicholas II, the soothsayer said that all the hardships that would befall him and the whole family would be associated with the war.
“What do you mean,” the emperor asked, “do you mean the war that we ended with Japan?” “No,” came the answer, “we are talking about the upcoming terrible war, with which your name will be associated. Around the beginning of 1917. You will lose everything, and 1918 will be fatal for you. “Well,” the emperor remarked, “everything is God's will. I already know such a prediction from the papers left to me by my ancestor,”- it was about the predictions of the monk Abel, which Nicholas II learned from the papers of Paul I, which were kept until 1901.

There is information that after this conversation, Heiro met with Grigory Rasputin. The famous healer and fortuneteller himself, he showed a keen interest in the "overseas magician". Heiro prophesied to him:
- You will die a terrible death. A knife, poison and a bullet hang over you. And I can also see the waters of the river over your head.
- And where did you fool around, you know all this? Rasputin asked categorically.
Heiro was calm and confident:
- In the palm of a newborn who has lived on earth for only one hour, I see his whole future life. On your hand I see that you have already lived three quarters of your life. In 8-10 years you will understand this.
Rasputin took the prediction seriously. Is this why he turned to Dr. Badmaev, who began to give him poisons in microscopic doses to make him immune to poisoning? Apparently, this explains the unsuccessful attempt of the conspirators to poison the "elder" with cyanide. As for the big war about which Heiro spoke to Nicholas II, Rasputin did everything in his power to prevent it from starting. But Heiro was right.

By the end of the 19th century, the seer was simply feared. The clientele narrowed and he had to move to America.
Mark Twain was one of the first to visit. Here is how Heiro himself described this meeting: “One evening, Mark Twain, a famous humorist, came to my salon, who at that moment seemed to me to be a very strict and serious person. I confess that by that time I knew little about Twain and did not see his portraits, so I treated him like an ordinary person who decided to consult with me. When I started to use my system and list notable dates and important events, he paused, checked the years I mentioned, and then asked him to explain to him my method that allowed me to come to such conclusions.
“I admit that the past can leave marks on the palms,” he said. - And even the fact that the character of a person can be traced to the smallest detail. But how can you determine the future along the lines - that's what I don't understand …
Leaving, Twain was not without a pun. He said:
- Do you know what is the funniest thing in this situation? Although I… lost a lot of money again, you gave me the blueprint for a story that will get that money back.
A few years later, he published Wilson's Goggle, a story about thumb prints. She was a huge success.
Before I left, I asked him to sign in the guestbook, and he left an inscription that then made many people laugh: “Heiro described my character with insulting accuracy. I cannot yet acknowledge the truth of his words, but someday I will."
For his prophecies, the palmist began to take huge fees, which in the end mystically undermined his gift of God. Heiro did not foresee the impending crisis of 1929, which destroyed all his capital.
He spent his last years first in poverty, and then in poverty. A beggar who fell from hunger was escorted to a hospital for the poor. Here in 1936 the great seer Heiro ended his life.
