Either Xinhua got excited, or we misunderstood the Chinese, but the world's first cryogenic freezing of a human body was carried out in the United States back in 1969 - as an experiment. American professor James Bedford was completely frozen. And for almost 50 years they have been keeping it, assuring that his body has not deteriorated in the least.
Already in 1972, the Alcor Life Extension Foundation appeared, which still freezes people. Including the whole. Alcor currently retains about 200 bodies.
There is also a Cryonics Institute in the USA - there are more than 100 bodies there.
The bodies of the frozen dead are stored in special vessels in liquid nitrogen at a temperature of about minus 200 degrees.
