Unknown as a hobby
- I never believed in the paranormal, was skeptical of psychics, even laughed at their theories. However, ten years ago, I changed my mind abruptly. This happened after a friend, who is engaged in alternative medicine, proved to me that the stones are alive,”recalls Sandris Tochs. - Since then, I began to actively study the paranormal. It has become my hobby.
A colleague suggested to Sandris to create a series of films. He did not hesitate to agree. Since the end of August, a team of five people has shot four tapes, which could be seen on the LNT channel in September and October (later they plan to repeat the cycle. - Author's note). Their demonstration showed that people's interest in the unknown and incomprehensible is great. The audience told about their experience, suggested new topics. So now work is underway on the fifth film, which will be released later this year.
Lived is power
In the first four films, their authors talked about the places where accidents most often occur and why, tried to answer the question of how it happened that the Estonia ferry sank, made an attempt to understand what influence signs have on our lives and how to meditate on … money.
While working on the first film - “Black Spots of Latvia”, the film crew discovered that the section of the Cesis - Madona road passes through a former cemetery.
- During archaeological excavations, 744 skeletons were found here. The skulls were lying right next to the road, - says the journalist. - When I asked the head of the survey what they were going to do with the remains, he replied: we will bury it again. "Will you call the priest?" - "And it is necessary?"…

A person, of course, may not believe that accidents on this section of the road occur because the highway runs through a cemetery, but any believer will consider it at least unethical to drive through former burial places. By the way, in Riga Sencu street also crosses the old cemetery.
- The intersection of Chaka and Pernavas streets, where cars are beating literally every day, attracted our attention. - Someone will say that there is just a difficult intersection of roads, but the psychic suggested a different version: accidents happen because water crosses here. veins. He tested the intersection and drew a diagram. While I was interviewing him, two cars collided behind us. This frame is in the film. Later it turned out that the cars "met" exactly at the intersection of the veins, as indicated in the diagram.
Signs of trouble
In the film about the ferry "Estonia", experts ask the same question: if God decided to punish sinners in this way, then what were the children who also died? There are several known cases when passengers went from deck to shore at the last moment. And some, on the contrary, being very late, still found a way to get to the port and go aboard. Towards your death …
"Do you know what the sign you use as your company logo means?" - the author of the script of the film "Fatal Signs" suggests thinking. And he answers it like this: if you don't know, then it is better to refrain from using it, because the sign can ruin your business.
- Here's a simple example. If the well-known sign "Mary's cross" is turned so that the straight lines form a diagonal, then it will mean movement. Otherwise, the sign will slow down any development. With this sign, our ancestors stopped the fire, - says Sandris Tochs. - The swastika also has a double meaning. There are two versions of why Hitler was defeated in the war. Some believe that he used a sign that is used exclusively for good purposes, otherwise it brings misfortune. Others believe that for victory, the beams of the swastika had to be directed in the other direction. And recently I saw a commemorative coin issued by the Bank of Latvia with the image of the state emblem split into parts. How could this be done? What were its authors guided by?
The film "Meditation for Money" told about how you can reach your cherished goal with the help of positive thinking. The hero of the plot, a former veterinarian, was engaged in meditative practice. He and his wife recently started a family business. Now the turnover of their travel agency reaches 142 thousand lats.
The wealthy people of Latvia who appeared in the film all as one noted that it is necessary to think about the goal, not about money. Then wealth will come.
You can, of course, not believe
During the filming of the cycle, a lot of inexplicable things happened. Especially often - when working on the film "Black Spots of Latvia".
“There was a feeling that someone was opposed to filming,” said Sandis Tochs. - For example, when we arrived at the Sudas swamp, near which cars often crash, my words began to get confused, and then I completely lost my voice. Then a psychic suddenly fell into the swamp, acting as an expert. We did not have time to regret that we had not filmed this shot, as our operator fell into the swamp. Surprisingly: just one step - and he plunged headlong into the quagmire. The camera then had to be thrown out, but the cassette was saved.
“Latvia has many of its own“Bermuda triangles”, - the journalist is sure. - People come here to "recharge", to experience some unusual sensations. However, they do not even know if there is a positive or negative energy field at this place. For example, the Pokain forest is very popular among tourists now. But few people know that this is essentially a cemetery. Once upon a time, warriors came to the priest and brought a stone with a request to perform a funeral ritual over him if they did not return alive. Nobody said that the cemetery is a bad place, but it is definitely not a place for excursions.
So I think that everything that our cycle of documentaries “Beyond Consciousness” tells about, concerns everyone. But to believe what he saw or not, let everyone decide for himself.
