The story of the death of a group of tourists who died in 1959 at an altitude of 1079 has not left the screens of television programs for a long time, various second-rate shows are raising their ratings on this story, writers and journalists of various publications feed on it. For some famous people, all this has long been a profitable business. And, it seems to me, they are the ones least interested in establishing the truth.
But this or not, however, it is necessary to finally put an end to and close the secret of the pass, where at the beginning of February 1959, so suddenly, the lives of young and talented children were interrupted. Moreover, I have collected enough evidence, documents, testimony to, at least, try to understand what really happened at the pass.
The first story. Zina Kolmogorova's unsuccessful love
Zinaida Alekseevna Kolmogorova, born on January 12, 1937. Single. At the time of her death, she was only 22 years old. 4th year student of the UPI radio faculty. Everyone who knew her characterized her as a strong, strong-willed and domineering person. In addition, she has always been the soul of the company. Like all citizens of the USSR, she had her own hobby. She was a professional tourist. But for some reason, very few people know that on the eve of that ill-fated campaign, Zinaida suffered a serious personal loss. Of course, now, in the 21st century, in an era of debauchery and mental filth, it seems very naive and strange that an adult woman was so worried about the loss of her fiancé. Moreover, there was never any sexual relations between them (Kolmogorova was a virgin). But, nevertheless, she worried about this parting very seriously.
But who was her ex-fiance? It turned out that he was a student of the same educational institution with her. His name was Yura, his last name was Doroshenko. Yuri Nikolaevich Doroshenko, born on January 29, 1938. At the time of the death of the group, he was 21 years old, not married. 4th year student of the radio faculty UPI. They were pretty close to Kolmogorova. It seemed to Kolmogorova's relatives that the romance of the two young people would soon end in a wedding. Moreover, Doroshenko often came to visit Kolmogorova on Saturdays. Fortunately, she lived not far from Sverdlovsk, in the small town of Kamensk-Uralsky. But the beloved parted. Suddenly and at the initiative of Doroshenko. Kolmogorova went crazy, she could not accept the fact of the betrayal of a loved one. And he, soon, was already walking with another girl, causing jealousy and mental suffering in Zina.
All this information is documented. I found them in letters from Kolmogorova to my close friend Lida. Apparently they were well acquainted at the institute, besides, they were engaged in tourism, and besides, they were friends. It is rather difficult for me to say who this Lida is, since I was not interested in such details, considering them not as important as the content of Zinaida Kolmogorova's intimate letters. But these letters contain a lot of information that is significant for the investigation. So Kolmogorov says that he loves Doroshenko even after his betrayal. She admits that she cannot be with other men, although she does not experience a lack of attention. She is very jealous and ready for an insane act. In fact, she cannot control herself, wounded pride, female jealousy, rejected sacrifice,all this became a hellish cauldron in which her unfortunate soul was boiled.

The second story. Love triangle
Probably you need to talk about the one without which this whole story would not make any sense. Igor Alekseevich Dyatlov was born in the city of Pervouralsk, Sverdlovsk region. January 13, 1936. At the time of the death of the group, he was 23 years old. Igor studied at the 5th year of the UPI radio faculty. He was fond of radio engineering, in addition, he had a registered radio transmitter with 17 lamps. For amateur VHF sessions, it was enough in abundance. In general, the guy was quite talented. He constantly invented, built and designed something. In addition, he was the undisputed leader, with the makings of an unsurpassed leader.
But these are all general details. Few people know that, in the last months of his life, Igor Dyatlov was in love. In love madly, passionately, almost hopelessly. As a leader, he could not influence the object of his adoration. And she was defiantly indifferent to him, which gave him additional suffering. He was in love with Zinaida Kolmogorova. By the way, I think that it was she who gave some reason to hope for reciprocity. After parting with Doroshenko, suffering because of his new novel, she took liberty and accepted signs of attention from Igor Dyatlov. By the way, an interesting detail. After Dyatlov's death, they will find a notebook with a photograph of Zinaida Kolmogorova in his pocket.
But did they have a connection? Could Dyatlov have hoped that Kolmogorova would become his mistress? I will answer it this way: never, even though any woman is capable of taking revenge on the man who abandoned her. Kolmogorova corresponded with Igor Dyatlov. I read her letters. Unfortunately, there is not even a line to catch her in connection with Dyatlov. On the contrary, in her letters she is professionally indifferent, answering only general questions, without discussing anything personal with Dyatlov. All this allows us to conclude that as a man Dyatlov was indifferent to her. She did not love him, so she could never be with him. This girl had a steely character that deprived her of all sentimentality. Therefore, in her plans there was no place for Igor Dyatlov.
Third story. The fatal mistake of Igor Dyatlov
Igor Dyatlov's biggest mistake is that he collected them all in one campaign. Yuri Doroshenko, Zinaida Kolmogorov. At the same time, Kolmogorova herself did not know anything about Igor Dyatlov's plans. She wrote about this in her letter to her friend. They concealed from her that Doroshenko would be with her on the same campaign. Most of all, Kolmogorova was afraid of her weakness, since she loved Doroshenko as much as she had before her separation. Therefore, she went on a campaign with a heavy heart, apparently realizing that something very bad would happen there.
Igor Dyatlov, on the contrary, was very determined. Apparently there he wanted to make Kolmogorova a marriage proposal. The presence of Yuri Doroshenko did not bother him, since Dyatlov naively believed that everything was over between the former lovers. Of course, this naive and straightforward person did not understand all the subtleties of the mysterious female soul. Ultimately, it was all this that led to a terrible tragedy. But I will tell you about this in order.
The disaster began, already, at the very beginning of the campaign. Kolmogorova began to freak out and make mistakes, which later led to a bloody conflict. Doroshenko was with them, although he did not try to somehow contact his ex-girlfriend. Zinaida, on the contrary, began to flirt with someone who was also in love with her. Doing it in public, often when the former groom was nearby. As revenge, this position is rather dubious, but with a lack of experience in the relationship it can seem quite effective. The effect itself was not long in coming. Poor Igor Dyatlov, every day he was getting more and more infuriated. Often losing his mind and ceasing to analyze the surrounding situation. Yura Doroshenko also began to feel hatred for a lucky rival. And although he did not want to return to Kolmogorova, he could no longer not be jealous of her.
It is interesting to read the diaries of Igor Dyatlov's group. Several pages were written during the campaign. Although the guys planned to carefully describe each day of the trip, this idea did not work out. Zeal and diligence were enough only for a few pages written on different days of the trip. But reading them, nevertheless, is very interesting. For example, we learn that during halts and stops Kolmogorov is the initiator of provocative conversations and disputes. During them, the guys condemn the issues of love, hate, friendship between a man and a woman, even questions of happiness. As far as I understand, Doroshenko did not participate in these conversations, but it was also not possible to find out Dyatlov's position. I suspect that Kolmogorova's plan was successful. Dyatlov betrayed what was hiding his heart and Kolmogorova herself did not like this very much.
Women are always impulsive. They don't live by logic. If you offend them mortally, they will definitely take revenge on you. Even if you don't interest them in anything. This happened in the case of our love triangle. The modest and judicious Zina changes literally in front of those around her. Flirts and hugs with Dyatlov, while every time he tries to do it in the presence of Yuri Doroshenko. There are several pictures from the campaign, just recording these actions. She constantly laughs and smiles. Showing Doroshenko that she is happy and does not remember his base betrayal. Even with Yuri Yudin, she is just as kind. Kisses and hugs him when parting. So much so that the poor fellow then regretted all his life that due to illness he did not stay with this group. He did not share their common fate. By the way, pay attention to one interesting picture. On it, the samethere is also Semyon Zolotarev. Look with what envy he looks at this couple. However, Zolotarev was a beginner. He did not know all the oddities of the demonstratively reckless (publicly) Kolmogorova. He did not know the secret passion of Zinaida, which, literally, tore her poor heart apart.
But how did Doroshenko feel about this? Let me remind you that it was he who threw Kolmogorov. At the same time, he threw it not because she refused to sleep with him. Doroshenko planned to marry her. Everything was pretty serious with them, so he would never take offense for such reasons. Moreover, it was 1959. At that time, morality and ethics were the main priority of any person. In the same way, as now, in people's favor debauchery, lust, moral degradation, perversion and other no less disgusting acts. The age of high technologies, for a long time already, has killed everything human in people. Therefore, it is almost impossible for us today to understand the motivation of people who lived at that time.
Kolmogorov, for the time being, suited Doroshenko. However, her imperiousness, willpower, determination and straightforwardness, over time, began to bother him pretty much. He did not want to talk heart to heart with her, or maybe he was just frightened. Therefore, I preferred to just give up the object of my adoration. And maybe well-wishers helped him in this. At least the same Igor Dyatlov. Courting Kolmogorova, he could in this way "eliminate" a dangerous opponent. However, we will never be able to find out this.
Was Doroshenko jealous of her? I think so, I was jealous. This is how the human heart works. It feeds on illusions, lives by its own logic. The views that Kolmogorova sent him were too obvious. She let him know that he could still return her. And who knows how their future life would have developed, they survived in this terrible campaign.
Bloody denouement
It has long been said that if a gun hangs on the stage, then sooner or later it will go off. A flirting woman, offended and devoted, devoid of life experience, incapable of analysis, rather domineering and straightforward. Two men in love with her. The rest of the audience is only fit for the role of extras in this drama. The infernal mixture was ready to detonate at any second. The denouement happened on February 2, 1959.
Next, I'll try to be as precise as possible. Rely as much as possible on the data of objective analysis and the materials of the criminal case.
Dyatlov makes a fatal mistake by deciding to organize a cold overnight stay on the slope of height 1079. This place is definitely not good in every sense. A real lie is written in the materials of the criminal case. This place is truly sacred to the indigenous inhabitants of these places. The Mansi people worship their pagan deities there. And although the USSR pursues a policy of universal atheism, nevertheless 60 years ago, these people were very far from any civilization. They lived in their own world, as hundreds of years ago they prayed to their gods, brought them sacrifices and alms. Therefore, the shamans were against the fact that a group of city tourists would ascend to the height of 1079. They were especially frightened that tourists could go to the grove with the sacred cedar. This place was the center of pagan power. Therefore, any interference there was unacceptable. I managed to find out that apart from this group,at the height of 1079 there were no Russians. Once, at the age of 30, a woman geologist wandered there. Unfortunately, someone threw her down the slope, which is why she died. In fact, the Dyatlovites were the first to penetrate there. It is understood that the shamans began to haunt the group at the very beginning of their journey. They waited for further events. And if the group had simply gone further into the forest, then on this they would have parted. The group starts to spend the night. Cold. At the most unfortunate point of the pass. In an open, to all winds, place. People try to change their clothes. In the evening, at the pass, it got very cold. It's 29 degrees below zero outside. A piercing wind is blowing. The old tent sways in the wind. Trying to hide from the wind, people dump backpacks with things to the entrance. Finally everyone calms down. It immediately turns out that Zolotarev has a birthday today. By the way, Semyon Alekseevich Zolotarev. Born on February 2, 1921. At the time of his death, he was already 38 years old. Went through the whole war. He fought like a hero. He studied at a military school. After mobilization, he entered and graduated from the institute. He taught physical education in schools and colleges. He worked as a tourism instructor at the Kaurovskaya camp site. I quit on the eve of the campaign. He himself asked to go to the Dyatlovites. Since I became interested in a difficult route. Due to external data and his charm, Zolotarev had considerable success with women. However, until his death, Semyon remained single.
Interestingly, he quickly found contact with young people. Therefore, everyone began to celebrate his birthday with enthusiasm. Alcohol was diluted, a simple snack was prepared. And then the tragedy happened. I don't know exactly how it happened. Apparently Doroshenko and Dyatlov grappled with each other. It is clear that the cause of the conflict was in Kolmogorova. I think that Dyatlov received a decisive rebuff from Kolmogorova the day before. I even know where it happened. It was in an empty hut in the village of 2 Severny. Dyatlov poked his head towards Kolmogorova when she decided to regain Doroshenko. I suspect he didn't mind either. I don’t think that tired Kolmogorova chose expressions too much. Dyatlov realized that Kolmogorova never loved him. Igor kept only to a stop at pass 1079.
The verbal skirmish quickly turned into a fight. At the same time, both participants were almost naked. Since they grappled at the moment when they changed their clothes. Or maybe they tore their clothes during a fight. Personally, I think that's what happened. For some reason, it was not possible to stop them. Fleeing from the fighting people began to cut the tent with a knife. Moreover, during the fight one pole was damaged and the tent sagged to one side. Someone put a flashlight on the slope of the tent (search engines will find it later). And so, then, the whole group of people was thrown by the wind down the mountainside. Fortunately, it didn't take long to fall. Then the people went down the slope. To the same cedar that the local shamans took so much care of. In total, they walked one and a half kilometers. In the pitch darkness, in the howling winter wind, over the frozen snow covered with ice.
I think the fight then continued. Physically strong Dyatlov was not inferior to his rival. And also, somehow, he managed to neutralize Thibault and Zolotarev. At some point of enlightenment, he even forced his comrades to make a fire on the flooring found there. But nothing good came of it. Life was already leaving them. Dyatlov died, almost at the very end of this drama. Before Igor lay the body of Rustem Slobodin, and next to Slobodin was the corpse of the unfortunate Kolmogorova. Apparently Dyatlov tried to catch up with the one that, until recently, he loved so madly. Kolmogorova did not make it to the rescue tent a little. However, even if she had time to climb there, she would not have been able to survive. The deadly cold has already done its job. The last participant in the drama finally died.

The Muncie saw this whole drama. This was known to the investigators leading the criminal case. They saw the tourists fall from the mountain. Mansi climbed to the scene of the tragedy. Of course, they thought that their gods themselves punished the outsiders. Therefore, they simply shifted the corpses of people. Having arranged a kind of sacrificial ritual out of them. These children of nature did not find anything surprising in what happened. The legend of the mountain of 9 dead has long been in their legends. Once upon a time, a long time ago, 9 people also died on this mountain. What difference does it make if it happened again in the 20th century? Simply, the gods turned out to be stronger than those who encroached on their peace.

Now a little mysticism. There is such a thing: haze. Among the Slavs, this term is called a sudden clouding of the mind. All this takes place in deserted places. Places where black power is stronger than man. On the temples of forgotten gods, in swamps, in the mountains, in sacred caves. Morok, akin to obsession. So, just such a case happened to Dyatlov. I think it would be better if people stopped disturbing these places. This force is hostile to any civilization. She feeds on our fears and who knows what other monsters she can create.
