Ten years ago, many residents of our village were engaged in the collection of scrap metal. You could make good money on it. Therefore, after work, my husband and I went to the fields and to the forest plantations between them, where we collected the discarded spare parts of agricultural machinery.
It was August, about six in the evening. It's still pretty light. We left the car at the edge of the landing and went in search of spare parts. I had already collected a full armful of iron and returned to the car.
From a distance near the car I saw a strange figure. Since the distance was three hundred meters, and the trees blocked the view, it was difficult to see who it was. I walked to the car, wondering who it could be. At first I decided that it was some kind of worker of a field-crop brigade.
Then I realized that the crop had already been harvested, no one was working in the field. And the height of the man standing near the car was too small. Child? But how could he be here?
After all, it is very far to the nearest settlement - it takes several hours to walk. And this man was dressed in a strange way - in some kind of long fur coat with a hood. It was very hot outside.
Reflecting, I added a step, I wanted to understand more quickly who was at our car. Suddenly this kid in a fur coat flapped his arms sharply, like a bird's wings, and … took off! At the same time, he did not soar up, but rushed into the forest plantation.
I quickened my pace and in half a minute I was already at the car. I went straight to the trees. The flying creature had to hide there. The landing was rare and well visible, but no matter how I tried to make out at least something, I found no one. I thought it was a very large raven, but there are no such crows in our area, and he could not hide so well that it was impossible to see him.
The husband came up. We examined the planting together, even wandered between the trees, but found nothing unusual. Of course, I don't really believe in mysticism, but I don't know how to explain what happened without it.
