A group of physicists from Tel Aviv University managed to find and decipher the hidden part of the manuscript from the time of the First Temple. The text has remained unexplored for almost half a century since the discovery of the ancient document in the ruins of the Tel Arad fortress in southern Israel.

The texts are known to have been hidden in the ground around 650 BC. This period is associated with the reign of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar and the end of the times of the First Temple of Israel. In contrast to the Egyptian and Chinese documents, which were scrolls of paper, the manuscripts found were executed on clay tablets, and the text itself was applied in ink. This circumstance became disastrous for the artifacts and a significant part of the information displayed on them was lost. Thanks to modern technologies, physicists managed not only to recover the lost fragments of the text, but also to find previously unknown manuscripts on the twisted plates.

It is reported that the information presented in the documents is of a financial nature and relates to the activities of wine merchants. At the same time, scientists emphasize that it is absolutely not worth diminishing the importance of such manuscripts, because the knowledge gained in the future may help to discover previously unknown or hidden information on other artifacts.
