When we watch the latest news on TV, which shows a meeting of members of the upper house of the Duma or members of the government, we see "Squares" with their "square" bodies, "square" and mean words, laid down exactly in the letter of the law and the letter of the minutes.

Of the film actors, Vyacheslav Tikhonov clearly belongs to this type in the film "Seventeen Moments of Spring" - discreet, not striving to stand out, calm and extremely logical. Alisa Freindlich in Office Romance (especially the first half of the film); A. Schwarzeneger in the films "Terminator" and "Terminator-2".

“Squares” are always clean, tidy, conservatively dressed (Fig. 1), punctual, logical, speak clever speeches, do everything slowly, solidly, thoroughly. It is these qualities that propel them to leadership positions, where they are "in place." A distinctive feature of "Kvadratov" is the exact observance of instructions - and this is so like the higher authorities.

But the constant waiting for instructions from superiors is also an extremely negative quality. This was the reason for the "stagnation" and "decay" of our economy, art, culture, defeats in the first years of the Great Patriotic War, etc. Everyone just sat and waited for instructions.

“Squares”, due to their innate abilities, have a good memory and, therefore, are more informed about all the phenomena and events around. The activity of the left hemisphere of the brain clearly predominates. And often due to the right hemisphere, due to figurative thinking.

Among the outstanding statesmen there are "Squares" (IV Stalin, M. Thatcher, etc.). But the "Squares" were also the Pharisees, who crucified Jesus Christ, and then, centuries later, sat on the commissions of the Inquisition, burned D. Bruno, meticulously and accurately followed the instructions in Auschwitz and Buchenwald, destroying prisoners.

The heartless "Square" is a terrible weapon of evil. The weapon is smart, prudent. Sicilian Mafia Leaders - "Squares"; the leaders of the drug business - "Squares"; bureaucrats who have settled in all "warm places" and twist the hands of ordinary people - "Squares".

Among the nations and peoples that have the largest percentage of people of "square typology", there are the Germans (with their diligence and pedantry), the British (maintaining centuries-old traditions), the peoples of the Mongoloid race: the Chinese, the Japanese, etc. The “weak link” in the health of “Kvadratov” is vision (as a rule, glasses from a young age). And when we see the news on TV from Southeast Asia, a large number of young people with glasses are striking.

Among people of this typology, the largest percentage of alcoholics (in comparison with other types). Often they drink alone, locked in their office late at night. They are insensitive to ailments, and after suffering the flu on their feet, they may have complications. Straightness and inertia often lead to heart attacks.

The assemblage point of energies in people of this typology is located in the throat center. Therefore, they do not need to protect the throat from colds in winter. And they are able, working as a judge, to read out sentences in a monotonous voice for 6-8 hours.

In a conversation, they use verbal cliches, abstractions; the voice is monotonous, unemotional, like a computer. They prefer an average distance with the interlocutor; stand half sideways. When communicating with the authorities, they constantly clarify the details: “Who said? By what date? Reporting forms? etc. Weigh the facts in a sober and businesslike manner. Consistent and rational.

They dress conservatively, economically, and at work prefer to wear a uniform (dressing gown, overalls, cheap tracksuit, etc.).

The first signs of a person's belonging to this type appear in childhood, when all the kids scream, shout, play, do not listen to their parents, and one of them is like a little old man: quiet, obedient, emotionless. Logically clarifies the instructions of his mother.

And when he receives a self-propelled car with remote control for his birthday, he is more happy not with the car, but with the instructions for it. Rereads many times. And keeps all such instructions neatly in a special box.

Loves puzzles, crosswords; reads a lot; at school, as a rule, an excellent student and a bore. In institutes, teachers strive to attract such people to science. And often successfully.

There are not enough stars from the sky in graduate school, but he defends his thesis on time and without excesses. 90% of all scientific research is done by just such people - "simple workers of science."

The negative aspects of this group of individuals have been noted by philosophers:

- He who is too diligent in small, he usually becomes incapable of great. (F. La Rochefoucauld)

- Wait for poison from stagnant water. (W. Blake)

- How many truths, which we now recognize as indisputable, at the time of their proclamation seemed only paradoxes or even heresies. (To Robin)

- And in your words and in your ideals, avoid everything banal and familiar. (Pythagoras)

Negative qualities. Lack of initiative; waiting for instructions, orders "from above", delaying (or outright sabotaging) the resolution of urgent issues. Honoring of honor; literalism, bureaucracy.

Boring: working at school with children, sometimes excessive demands discourage them from learning.

Positive traits. Good memory, often intelligence, logic, diligence, reliability in work. Lean, rational, consistent.

The "need for order" is highly developed, which can be satisfied by a person in a variety of forms.
