Parents of an 11-year-old schoolboy who died of cancer are pushing for a ban on wireless internet at the school where their children continue to study. The late boy's mother and father blamed Wi-Fi for his death.

Wyman, a New Zealand couple, sent a request to the school, where two of their children are studying, and the parents of the students to ban wireless communications on campus. The document states that they decided to take such a step after the death of 11-year-old son Ethan from brain cancer.

Ethan's father - Damon Wyman - said that the terrible diagnosis was made to the boy three months after he and his wife gave him an iPod with wireless Internet access.

“Later we found that Ethan even fell asleep with a gadget under his pillow. Even if he was in standby mode at that time, he still emitted bursts of radiation in an attempt to connect to the router, says Wyman. - The doctors who examined my son said that the tumor appeared in the brain about three months ago. Less than a year after his diagnosis, Ethan died despite an 11-month battle with the illness. It seems to us that the purchase of an iPod and the development of a malignant tumor in the brain is not a coincidence. Most parents are afraid to give their 5-year-old children mobile phones for fear of radiation, but no one thinks that 30 children in the same classroom are exposed to the same effect every day.”

School spokesman Steve Joss said management and teachers have taken the request seriously and a preliminary decision will be released on December 28, 2013.

“The school board has not yet reached a consensus,” he said a few days ago. "We are currently collecting and processing information on this case."

Although numerous studies have shown that Wi-Fi signal does not pose a danger to human health, school officials asked all parents to take part in a survey on the prohibition of wireless Internet.

A group of parents has already proposed to consider their solution to the problem, which is to conduct cable Internet.
