Secrets of spontaneous combustion of people, mysterious disappearances, experiments on electromagnetism - what do they have in common? At first glance, nothing. But experts believe that all these phenomena are closely interrelated

It has been known for a long time that a person was burned alive for an unknown reason. In 1731, Countess Bundy of Kassena died in this way. In the bedroom they found only her head, three toes and the remains of her legs. All other parts of the body turned to ash. However, none of the objects in the room were damaged by the fire. In 1919, the famous English writer J. Temple Johnson was found dead in his home. The lower half of his body turned to charcoal. Again, there were no flame marks on clothing or on other objects.

The phenomenon of spontaneous combustion is often attempted to be explained by chemical reasons. They say that the person drank too much alcohol, alcohol gradually accumulated in the body and, in the end, caught fire. But it has already been established that spontaneous combustion has repeatedly occurred in the so-called anomalous zones.

Thus, in October 1990, two shepherds grazed a flock on the banks of the Volga near the town of Zhirnovsk. They decided to stop at a place that is notorious among the local population - "Devil's Den". At this time, the sheep suddenly bleated in alarm, and one of the shepherds went to see what had happened. The other was left sitting on the stone. When, having calmed the animals, the shepherd returned to his partner, he saw his charred corpse near the stone … The clothes on the corpse were not in the least burned.

But something similar happened in connection with the famous "Philadelphia experiment" of 1943, when, under the influence of a strong electromagnetic field emitted by a generator, scientists managed to make the military destroyer "Eldridge" disappear and reappear in a completely different place.

The experiment itself and its consequences were kept secret for a long time. But in the mid-50s. astrophysicist Maurice Jessup said that a man named Carlos Allende told him the details of a fantastic experience. From a letter to Allende, he learned about the incredible events that happened to the sailors on board the Eldridge. Many of them seemed to fall out of reality ("freeze").

This was expressed in the fact that a person suddenly froze in a motionless position, ceased to react to the world around him. He stayed in this state for some time, then returned to normal. But some during the period of "freezing" suddenly "ignited". “Once, two of them,” says Allende, “flashed like candles and burned … for eighteen days.” Attempts to extinguish the fire did not lead to anything - it flared up as if from an invisible internal source.

Something similar happened today at the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. We are talking about the so-called illness of Dr. Zharov. From time to time, animals on the territory of the landfill (and sometimes people) fell into a strange state - they stopped moving and even breathing. A few days later they came to life again. Such people were said to have "crumbled." At first they were mistaken for dead and buried. Then they just left it alone for a few days.

According to scientists, theoretically, a similar effect can occur as a result of a powerful electromagnetic pulse, artificially caused by a generator (experiments with "Eldridge"), a nuclear explosion (Semipalatinsk), or another natural cause associated with the electromagnet field of the Earth.
