I want to believe
The UFO phenomenon attracts the attention of not only hoaxers, but also scientists. However, the latter are trying to explain the origin of flying objects from a purely scientific and completely rational point of view. German scientist Eduard Ludwig, one of the creators of the first projects of the "flying wing", in 1916 tried to explain UFOs using aerodynamics.
According to him, UFO reports rarely give a complete picture, bringing only small fragments to the general idea of flying objects. However, the general characteristics - namely, the round, disc-shaped shape and the bright glow - deserve attention.
“If we discard the ridiculous assumptions that these aircraft are of extraterrestrial origin, then we can come to the conclusion that the glow of the circles has to do with the exhaust of a rotary gas turbine,” says Ludwig's article, published among other CIA materials.
According to the scientist, there is a possibility that the rotor - the rotating part of the turbine - was mounted on airplanes in relation to other turbine rings in such a way that the result was the effect of the rings of Saturn. Because of this effect, a completely terrestrial object took on the appearance of a flat plate.
"The future will show whether the" flying discs "are just a product of the imagination, or they are the result of advanced German science," Ludwig sums up.

Ludwig's words are still relevant today, more than 100 years later.
Declassified documents make up only a small part of what civilians do not even know. And ignorance has always prompted people to think out and come up with.
There are no reports of direct contact with aliens in the CIA documents (at least those that lend themselves to reading).
On February 1, 2017, a video was published on the network, which captured screenshots of Google Earth maps with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the Californian city of Pasedina. An object resembling a flying saucer is located right on the territory of this laboratory.
According to the Sun edition, Western ufologists undertook to discuss and explain these shots. But there were more skeptics.
"It is useless for NASA employees to compete with conspiracy theorists, because in the reasoning of the latter there is no logic - supporters of conspiracy theories at the same time claim that the Americans did not fly either to the Moon or Mars, while accusing the Space Agency of contact with aliens," said the ufologist and author Nigel Watson's UFO Investigation Guide.
“Hardly what we see in this video is really a UFO. Rather, it is simply a building or vehicle that resembles a plate in shape. Think for yourself, why would NASA keep such an object in plain sight? - noted Watson.
Indeed.
One way or another, thanks to the declassified data of the CIA, the truth has become a few steps closer to the people. But, as before, there is no answer that would put an end to the question of whether we are alone in the universe.
It remains only to believe in what we ourselves want to consider the truth - until we know the truth, which, as you know, is somewhere very close. Quite possibly - still in closed archives outside the walls of the CIA.
