Leominster hosted a conference on UFO issues, which brought together many guests
In the town of Leominster, New England, USA, an annual UFO conference is held. Some of its participants claim that they were abducted by aliens, the rest hope that they will one day get this chance.
One of the participants in the event was Ed Dupont from North Andover, who notes that his sister was abducted by aliens. Retired DuPont, a retired physical education teacher, attended the conference for the first time.
An avid UFO enthusiast, he admitted that it is not always easy to talk about his interests with those who do not understand him. And the UFO conference in Leominster, which took place on October 6-7 this year, is a rare chance for keen people to connect with those who share their interests.
Every year the conference attracts true UFO researchers, skeptics and just interested people who want to hear something new. According to conference organizer Susan McNeil Spyler, it is humans who believe or want to believe in aliens.
This year, the 5th annual conference brought together nearly three times as many people as last year, organizers say. Many participants are local, while others come from all over the country to hear paranormal experts speak and tell stories of close encounters with aliens.
Connecticut resident Dennis Lizzie began actively researching UFOs only after retiring in 1997. Prior to that, he worked in the Connecticut State Police for 23 years and could not afford such public activities due to the specifics of the service.
Dennis said that some people think he is a little crazy, but he is just interested in everything related to aliens. The ex-policeman was pleased to meet other people who share his interests, and therefore he really likes this event.
