Global warming poses a real threat to the existence of life on planet Earth. This statement was made by 15,000 scientists from 135 countries, who published the report "The second warning to humanity."

In this appeal, scientists say that since 1992, the average temperature on the planet has risen by 0.5 degrees, at the same time, carbon dioxide emissions have increased by 65%, and over the past 25 years, the world's forest area has decreased to unacceptable levels. The availability of fresh water is becoming a real problem, and giant “dead zones” appear in the ocean in which the oxygen content is critically low.

Over the past 25 years, the world's population has grown by two billion people, while the populations of birds, fish, animals, reptiles, amphibians, etc., etc. have decreased by 30%.

In The Warning, scientists suggest 13 ways to reduce human impact on the environment. Among them, such as the introduction of "green" technologies, the reduction of harmful emissions, the reduction of food waste, the creation of additional reserves.

This is the second warning, and the first was published in 1992, then 1700 scientists from all over the world signed it, but their warning was not heeded and since then the situation has become much worse.
