It would seem that our planet has long been studied up and down, and nothing new can be found on it. The era of exciting expeditions to unexplored lands and stunning geographical discoveries is over, and the 21st century has given most people the opportunity to view every square mile of our "blue ball" without leaving home.
However, if the Earth has been fully studied, and there are no blank spots left on it, then why do dozens of ships and aircraft disappear every year, while their debris or traces of a wreck cannot even be found? According to official information, there is nothing in the regions where such disappearances occur. For example, in the famous Bermuda Triangle, where even in clear weather air and floating vessels disappear without a trace. Where do they go? Alternative researchers are convinced that the real geography of the planet is strikingly different from the one in which we are used to believing (which was imposed on us), because the powers that be are hiding the truth from us.
Our distant ancestors believed that the Earth is flat. They believed this because they saw the plane of the planet with their own eyes. In some parts of the world it was assumed that the Earth stands on a turtle and three elephants, in others - that we just live on one huge disk. One way or another, the ideas of the ancient peoples about the shape of the planet converged on the main thing: it is flat, like a saucer.
Therefore, there is nothing surprising in the fact that for a long time people could not believe the scientists who argued that the Earth, in fact, is spherical. No evidence was provided for this, the concept of a planet-ball assumed solely faith in one's word. The man could not see with his own eyes the bend of the Earth, and even more so to believe how nothing falls off this ball. Even today, the overwhelming majority of people do not fly on airplanes, have not been in space, and therefore cannot be convinced of this visually. Of course, you can trace a ship leaving at sea: sooner or later, the ship will really disappear behind the horizon and cease to be visible to the observer. However, there are those who still claim that this effect is achieved due to the gravitational interaction of water with celestial bodies, but certainly not by the roundness of the planet.
Of course, the notorious Flat Earth Society, founded in the 19th century in England and much later successfully revived in the USA, immediately comes to mind. Representatives of this organization still claim that our planet is a flat disk with a diameter of about 40 thousand kilometers, the center of which is the North Pole. The moon, sun and stars supposedly revolve over the surface of this disk. Supporters of this theory deny gravity, believing that the Earth is constantly moving upward. The existence of the South Pole is also denied. They say that what they give us as Antarctica is an ice wall encircling the world. All images of the planet from space are just fakes, a hoax, like, for example, the same flights of the Americans to the moon, and therefore all representatives of space agencies and airlines are participants in a large world conspiracy.
Who benefits from keeping the real geography of the planet a secret?
Of course, we are not claiming that the Earth is actually flat, but if humanity has not yet reached a common point of view on this, what can we say about other issues. For example, controversy about the veracity of modern cartography flares up from year to year. And all because any map, even the most real, accurate and correct one, inevitably lies. The borders of states are indicated inaccurately, the scales of countries and continents are violated, lakes and islands are not indicated. Travelers note that any power is trying to "paint" itself in the center of the world, adding new territories to itself and depriving its neighbors of them.
