In our village, in which I lived with my parents as a child, but then grew up, I left for the city, once a strange mystical incident happened.
When a woman, a resident of the village, lost her son in the war in Afghanistan, she greatly grieved for him. She knew that she could not be returned now, she was buried, but she continued to grieve about him for a long time and periodically cry. She was the only one.
Once she went to her barn for some economic need, she can collect eggs from under the chickens or clean manure, you never know. There is always a lot of trouble and work in the village.
Opening the door and entering the barn, she saw her son standing in the far corner. The son immediately became very angry, unfriendly, accusing her of not giving him rest with her lamentations and tears.
Having finished his monologue, he did not wait for an answer from the dumbfounded mother, but right from the corner, from a long distance, with an unnaturally extended hand with a clenched fist, he hit the woman in the head so hard that she fell. And she lay there for a while, quite a long time.
After the filial blow, lying down and regaining consciousness, the woman got up and went home. Whether her mourning ended with this or not, I don't know for sure, for I myself have not seen it, but I am writing from the story of my sister Lida, who knew this woman well.
I suppose that after this admonition, she stopped worrying about her son. And then suddenly he will come a second time and hit harder, but everyone wants to live, we have a strong instinct for life.
And the Bible says that you can cry about the deceased for only three days.
