Despite the rapid development of technology and human intelligence, our planet still amazes people with its secrets and mysterious phenomena, which have not been solved since ancient times until now.

These rather strange events include the fallout of unusual "rains", which consist mostly of small animals.

The first mentions of this mysterious phenomenon can be found on a papyrus from Ancient Egypt, which depicts birds and fish falling from heaven. It is not known what this is connected with, but in the Middle Ages such strange "precipitation" was quite frequent, and people even thought that fish were born in the sky. Attempts to explain such phenomena in the distant past were reduced to their divine origin, and cult servants attributed "living" rains to angry gods who were angry with careless people. What has not fallen on the heads of the wicked over the past centuries: in addition to the aforementioned birds and fish, spiders, snakes, shrimps and mice rained down from the heavens. One of these last mysterious rains consisted of blackbirds, and it fell in early 2011 in the United States (Arkansas). But not only small birds and animals can be transferred in this way. In 1877, North Carolina was excited by the fall of several alligators to the ground, and a cow landed on board a fishing schooner in the Sea of Okhotsk. It happened in 1990.

According to the currently accepted version, the cause of a strange phenomenon can be hurricane winds and tornadoes, which, passing over the sea, suck in various animals along with water, and then transport them over great distances. As the force of gravity of the tornado fades, the animals fall down. Flocks of birds can be caught in strong vortices during flight. It would seem that it is a completely reasonable explanation for this phenomenon, if there were not several inconsistent points:

- firstly, the fall of rains from animals was not always accompanied by a strong wind - such miracles also happened in calm, calm weather

- secondly, all the "live rain" is not scattered over a large area, as it should have happened according to the laws of physics, but immediately falls down only in one area

- and thirdly, animals that fell down did not necessarily die. But what's strange is that sometimes the fish falling from the sky was pretty spoiled, which indicates that it “traveled” for quite a long time, but where, how and why - it remains an unsolved mystery to this day.
