When a tourist came to one of the Bali hospitals with a strange red mark on his stomach, doctors decided that this was a symptom of an allergy. Later it turned out that the Aesculapians were greatly mistaken.

Dylan Thomas, 21, from Western Australia was on holiday with friends in Bali, but was forced to interrupt his holiday last weekend to seek medical attention at a hospital on the island. The reason for the appeal was a strange red mark that suddenly appeared on the skin of a young man, writes Mail Online.

At first, doctors mistook the long red stripe for an insect bite allergy symptom, and therefore prescribed antihistamines to the patient and reassured him, saying that soon everything would pass. As it turned out later, the doctors were wrong. The fact is that the next day Dylan's condition worsened - drops of liquid appeared on the pathological element.

“On Sunday morning I woke up and realized that, apparently, the diagnosis was wrong,” recalls the Australian. "The trail was covered with bubbles with liquid, so I had to see a dermatologist."

Re-examination finally pointed out the cause of the strange trail: the specialist found out that a spider was traveling under the tourist's skin, which laid the path in the form of a red stripe.

“Having found out who had settled inside me, the doctors performed a small operation and pulled out a spider from under the skin. It was small - no more than the size of a match head, says Thomas. "After the extraction, the doctors said that the spider penetrated the skin through a small scar left on the skin from a previous operation - my appendix was removed."

According to the Australian "Spider-Man", for several days, during which an arthropod lived in his body, he did not experience any discomfort: movement under the skin or pain.

“Knowing that a living creature has invaded your body is rather unpleasant. I still feel uncomfortable with the thought that a spider lived in my body for several days,”he added.

Dylan was unable to tell reporters what kind of arthropod his "neighbor" was, but noted that he would find out about it soon.

“The tropical spider was taken to the laboratory for testing, so I will soon find out what kind of spider it was,” explained Thomas.
