When the little squirrel, later to be called Bella, was only four weeks old, she was attacked by an owl. The animal was seriously injured, with which it could not have survived in the wild. Fortunately, people found her. The squirrel was nursed by the Brantley Harrison family, where they are professionally engaged in animal rehabilitation. Taking a squirrel into their care, these people had no idea how the fluffy ball would change their lives.

Bella spent the winter with the Harrisons along with three other relatives. She was no different from other animals. The family that took care of forest rodents purposefully prepared the animals for life in their natural environment and did not allow them to be treated like pets, Dodo reports.

In the spring, when the time came, the kids were released into the wild, which all four were incredibly happy about. For a time, they all returned several times to the Harrison house - and this behavior was normal. Later, the other three squirrels lost interest in home, but Bella, in contrast, showed a special affection for people.

Now, for more than seven years now, she has been visiting her people almost every day. She waits for friends at the doorstep of the house, and sometimes climbs to the dining room window to be seen. The Harrisons always have a saucer of nuts for Bella. As Brantley says, her husband, upon seeing a squirrel, drops everything (even if he is late somewhere) and runs to meet her with a treat.

And once people noticed that their beloved animal hurt its paw. Bella was taken back to rehabilitation. In a human dwelling, she gave birth to three babies. The Harrisons had to take care of the little ones until they were released into the wild.

Now the squirrel living in Greenville, South Carolina, USA, has its own Instagram, where it is published fresh photos.
