Scientists agree that aliens see humans as underdeveloped creatures. From all over the world, they dreamed of hoping to get acquainted with representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations, but they still have not been able to do this.
Humanity tried to detect UFOs or send them a signal, but this did not give any results. This is due to several reasons. First, human technology is incapable of sending radio signals beyond our Milky Way galaxy. And secondly, most likely the aliens will be much more advanced than humans. Because they would be smart enough to build ships capable of covering vast distances and reaching Earth. This is in theory, but so far science has not confirmed the presence of extraterrestrial civilizations.
Accordingly, some scientists suggest that if an alien race with supertechnology flew to our planet, then we would look like monkeys in our eyes, that is, very undeveloped. Accordingly, they would not have a need to sink to our level.
The author of this idea is Neil Tyson. He claims that in humans and monkeys, the difference is only one allele of DNA, but the intellectual differences are obvious. And what if the aliens have a difference with our species, for example, in the 5th allele of DNA. Then, against their background, our race will look very, very stupid, not even able to understand them. Accordingly, if extraterrestrial civilizations exist, then most likely they are more developed than us. And if so, they may even know about our existence, but they are not going to contact us because of our primitiveness.
