Belief in the mystical properties of bird chest bones (they are usually called arches or forks) has existed for more than two thousand years and originated in the Etruscan civilization.
Most often, these bows were used for weather forecasting. Observing the migration of geese that inhabited the territory of modern Tuscany, the ancient tribes came to the conclusion that these birds have the gift of "foresight".
The breasts of the geese eaten in November were thoroughly washed, dried, and then monitored for color changes. Thus, the Etruscans predicted how severe the coming winter would be. Then this tradition was adopted by the Romans, extending it to the cock bones-forks.
Here is the meaning attributed to the flowers of dried chicken and goose bones-forks:
Purple, blue or black - winter will be cold
Entirely blue or dark bone - a very harsh winter ahead
White - mild, rather warm winter
