A fresh look at history, the discovery of hitherto unknown artifacts and cultures, modern discoveries in natural science give us the opportunity to comprehend and revise the history of the ancient Slavs in a different way. An amazing thing - the main works and provisions of the history of our peoples were written and formulated by no means his representatives. The entire modern history of the Slavic world, its cornerstone, was created no more than 200 years ago by German historians. Naturally, over time, they were adjusted and refined, but the general approach remained unchanged.

According to this approach, the Slavic tribes appear as if from nowhere about one and a half thousand years ago. They inhabit the territories, from the Baltic to the Black Seas, freed from the nomadic or forest tribes inhabiting them. As a rule, many questions are omitted or attention is not focused on them. But the main question remains unanswered - where did the ancestors of the largest ethnic European group (numbering more than 300 million people) come from, what is their true history?

Analyzing the recently discovered historical facts, one can make an assumption that in fact the history of the Slavs has at least five millennia, and representatives of this ethnos were settled throughout the Oycumene; their culture had a tremendous impact on other civilizations, laid the foundation for the life of more than one nation.

Traces of Slavic culture are found in the most unexpected places. Found no more than three decades ago in the Chelyabinsk region, the settlements repeat in their structure the centers of the ancient cities of Hellas and Rome, only they appeared long before their famous analogues. So the ancient city of Arkaim, according to rough estimates, is about four thousand years old.

In the same areas, giant megalithic structures were discovered, occupying vast areas. The remains of the huge observatory consist of hewn granite and basalt boulders weighing more than 20 tons, and its area is about a hundred times larger than the area of the legendary Stonehenge. The age of the observatory is comparable to the age of the same Stonehenge, which may mean the similarity of the ideas of the architects of that time. In the region of the Ural Mountains, a giant workshop with traces of copper melting was discovered. The drawings on the walls of the workshop bear traces of Slavic culture and Slavic symbolism. The dates of the drawings are about ten thousand years BC, but similar motifs and style of image are suddenly found in completely opposite regions of our planet - for example, in the caves of Australia and Algeria.

It is possible that the history of our distant ancestors goes back to much earlier times than Western historians say. It is possible that the ancient Slavs had a state system long before the Mediterranean civilizations came to it. If so, then they most likely possessed knowledge that was long ahead of their era. They could have been the founders of modern European civilization.

It has long been known that the past of the Slavs is closely intertwined with the ancient people of the Etruscans. This people, who are also Slavic, came to the land of Italy from the territory of western Russia or Belarus. The Etruscans were a highly developed civilization, moreover, their customs and views on life were radically different from the views of their neighbors, for example, the Romans. Most of the achievements of ancient Rome - from numbers and laws to bronze sculptures and plumbing were copied by the Romans and have come down to us as their creations. The Etruscans themselves disappear from history suddenly, just as they appear - there is no evidence of their death from war, natural disaster or disease.

However, despite this, a huge amount of written evidence left by the Etruscans themselves has survived. Neither the ancient Romans nor their descendants even tried to translate these records. "Etruscan is not readable" - such an aphorism existed in Roman educational institutions, and from them it smoothly flowed into the Middle Ages. However, at the end of the 19th century, the Polish philologist Fadey Volansky was able to decipher the texts of the Etruscans and showed that their language was very similar to the Slavic ones, and the alphabet used essentially resembled the prototype of the Cyrillic alphabet. Is this not a proof of the commonality of ethnic groups? Thus, it can be safely asserted that the Slavic civilization definitely had an impact on the origin of the civilization of modern Europe.

But not only in Europe! There is a considerable amount of evidence of the penetration of Slavic culture and symbolism into the territory of America and the southern part of the Pacific Basin. If the appearance in the excavations of patterns and ornaments characteristic of Slavic culture could be explained by similar elements from Hinduism, then how can one explain the numerous discoveries of ancient Slavic idols? Modern science cannot provide convincing answers.

There is another interesting fact. Many modern agricultural crops not native to the Old World were brought there by the Spanish and English colonialists. These include potatoes, sunflowers, corn, etc. However, there were plants cultivated exclusively by Indians and Slavs. These include, for example, amaranth, which has the Slavic name "shiritsa". This grain crop also came to Western Europe from America, although in its eastern part it has been cultivated since time immemorial. Moreover, according to the beliefs of the Aztecs or Incas, amaranth was given to them by white bearded gods. The very same gods whose stone statues are found in various parts of North and Central America. More recently, similar sculptures were discovered on the coast of Manhattan.

"Controlling the past controls the future" - this Orwellian quote is more relevant than ever now, in the information age. Peoples who have forgotten the deeds of their great ancestors will not achieve much. It's time to reconsider the archaic views on history in order to understand who we are and where we are going …
