Movie! Movie! Movie! How often do we think about what our children, teenagers, and adults are watching? What emotions and impressions do we absorb from films that are broadcast on television, shown in cinemas, are available for viewing online on the Internet … Alas, many do not even understand that sometimes a bad mood, aggression, anger and even hatred can be imposed by films with negative plot, where there is violence, where rage, anger and pain in each frame. And watching such films will cause similar emotions and experiences that can flow into your life. The impact of films on the human psyche cannot be underestimated.

The analysis of films released in 2010 showed that over the period from 01.01.10 to 01.10.10 more than 300 foreign films (USA, France, Italy, China, Korea, Germany …) were released on our screens, the Russian film industry released over 100 films. Of these, most are occupied by precisely those genres that can aggravate depression, fuel anger, aggression, negativism, and hostility towards other people.

Consciousness, subconsciousness, unconsciousness - all three levels are very strongly interconnected and affect each other. So, for example, the unconscious beginning is represented in almost all mental processes, this can include a sense of balance, proprioceptive (muscle) sensations. It is also possible to single out unconscious visual and auditory sensations that cause involuntary reflexive reactions in the visual and auditory centers of the nervous system. This proves to us that the nervous system cannot be divided into three autonomous components, and it must be perceived as a whole, where there is mutual influence or exchange of information at all levels. That is, the influence of films on a person is manifested at all levels of the psyche.

If a person watched the film “The Killer Inside Me”, he “fed” his aggression, which penetrated through consciousness to the subconscious level. Then it can manifest itself through an aggressive attitude towards other people, animals, and so on. Frequent viewing of such films will lead to the fact that a kind of aggression layer will gradually be deposited on an unconscious level, which will affect a person's life. He will not only be aggressive towards someone, but they will also be aggressive towards him, events will occur in his life that will provoke him to manifest aggressive behavior.

Each of us is able to realize what is beneficial for him and what is not. It is not for nothing that some parents control the child for watching cartoons with a negative storyline ("Tom and Jerry" - where the head falls off, the eyes fall out, the torso runs separately from the head, where the cat is always a victim of its own tricks; new issues of "Just you wait" and so Further). Parents understand that the child may then sleep poorly, be nervous, afraid, and experience other negative emotions. Why don't parents think about the fact that they also need to protect themselves from watching films of the horror, detective, drama, thriller, crime, action genre. If you have time to watch such a movie, why don't you have time to sit, at least 10 minutes, in complete calmness and silence, without fuss and other experiences. Just sit and think about something good.

Along with this, watching movies with a positive storyline can have a positive effect on the human psyche, improve the emotional state and help in overcoming stress. This technique is widely used in psychotherapy and is called film therapy (a method of influencing the human psyche through watching a film, discussing it and understanding it). For this, different genres are used (with the exception of horror), the choice of a film depends on the goals and objectives. Such films as: "Once in Rome", "More than a friend", "Plan B", "Classmates" and others give a reason to think about your life, about what it is filled with, about the main thing - about love and acceptance, about friendship and values in life. While watching films with a positive storyline, corresponding emotions arise that make us kinder, more responsive, more determined, which will definitely be reflected in everyone's life. Therefore, I urge you to watch those films that lift your spirits, charge you with positive energy, make your eyes shine … Such films will contribute to the development of friendliness, a positive attitude towards yourself and others, the feeling that life is beautiful and full of positive moments.
