Former employee of the Rostov Criminal Investigation Department Nikolai Zheleznyak lives in Bataisk and works in Rostov. In early November 1990, Nikolai found himself on official business in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region. He arrived there with his colleague. The hotels were overcrowded, and the men settled in a private house owned by an old acquaintance of theirs.
At about three o'clock in the morning, Nikolai Zheleznyak woke up with a headache.
“I’ve never had such a headache in my life,” he recalls. - I decided to leave the stuffy hut into the courtyard, get some fresh air. The wretched little house in which we spent the night stood on the outskirts of Kamensk. Behind the garden, laid out on its backyard, the steppe began … As soon as I went to the threshold of the hut, the headache passed. To say that I was surprised by this is to say nothing. How can this be? The head was just breaking apart from the pains, and suddenly they were removed as if by hand.
At the far end of the garden plot - near the fence, behind which the steppe stretched to the horizon - there was a wooden toilet booth.
Nikolai says:
- So, the pain is gone. But since I was in the yard, I decided to do my job in the toilet. And went to him. I was in shorts and a T-shirt, but I didn't feel the cold. As you know, in the beginning of November, the weather is usually fine in the Rostov region. Leaf fall is just beginning. Everywhere the grass turns green … It means that I am walking along the path between the garden beds, looking at my feet. I went to the toilet booth. I raise my head. And I'm already squatting out of surprise! The full moon soars in the cloudless starry sky, floods everything around with its light. And in the steppe, a huge apparatus of strange shape hangs above the ground - about a hundred meters from the fence supporting the toilet.
The object looked like a soup tureen lid or, as Nikolai put it, a half biconvex lens cut in half. Domed, strongly stretched horizontally, it hung motionless in one place. From its flat bottom it was four or five meters, according to Zheleznyak's estimates.

The object itself did not glow, but a bluish glow spread around it. Down from the object in its entire width, a pillar of smoke, clearly outlined along the edges, went to the ground.
“A kind of smoky mass was swirling in that pillar,” says Nikolai. - Something like a black fog … And around the "flying saucer", as if taking it in a ring, stood at an equal distance from each other the most hefty men! The height of each is at least two and a half meters. They were all dressed in shiny silver jumpsuits, tight-fitting bodies. They were perfectly visible in the glow that surrounded the UFO.
Frightened, squatting on his haunches, peering cautiously from behind the toilet booth, Nikolai clearly saw the following picture in the moonlight. A group of quite earthly people was slowly approaching the "plate" across the steppe - about fifteen to eighteen people.
Nikolai Zheleznyak has excellent eyesight.
He remembered that there was an old gypsy among those people. The group was led by a man in a dark suit and white shirt with a tie. Next to him was, by Zheleznyak's definition, a typical rural machine operator. He wore an old shirt torn on his chest, wrinkled dirty trousers, tarpaulin boots splattered with mud, and a quilted jacket casually tucked under his armpit.
The rest of the audience was dressed as badly, sloppily as that machine operator. Nikolai thought: "Our ordinary Russian peasants and, perhaps, workers - that's who they are." A group of people without a word walked across the steppe about twenty meters from the toilet booth, behind which Zheleznyak was buried, and headed towards the "flying saucer." There were no children in the group …
Approaching the edge of space, illuminated by the glow that surrounded the UFO, the group stopped.
- While people silently walked across the steppe, - says Nikolay Zheleznyak, - two giants in silver overalls moved next to them. One walked to the left of the group, the other to the right. As I understand it, they were escorting earthlings.
When people froze on the edge of the illuminated area, the guards silently separated three people from them and led them to the object. In a tight group, shoulder to shoulder, all five entered the smoky cloud that was stirring under the "flying saucer" and disappeared into it.
A few seconds later, both guards reappeared on the lighted area - they cheerfully walked out of the cloud.
They selected the next trio from a small crowd of silent men and women who stood quietly waiting for their turn. They took the trinity in the "plate". Introduced into a pillar of smoke below her. We returned back soon, just like last time, without those who had been brought under the UFO.
And so it was repeated until all the people were escorted by them into the misty darkness under the object.
Following this, the ring of aliens, standing motionless around the "plate", disintegrated. The “guards,” as Nikolai called them, moved towards the object. There were seven of them - those whom Zheleznyak saw, standing in a semicircle in front of the UFO. Probably, the security chain skirted the object from its reverse side as well, but from Nikolai's gaze, the “guards” standing on the other side of the UFO were hidden by a wide - in its entire width - smoky column under it … So, the security chain began to move. The aliens headed towards the object.
The dark pillar under the UFO seemed to suck them in turn into itself, dissolving in a black hazy fog without a trace.
The last "guard" stepped into the post and after a couple of seconds suddenly disappeared. It did not disintegrate into clouds of smoke blown by the weak night breeze that pulled across the steppe, but suddenly disappeared from our eyes, disappeared. The glow around the "plate" faded. The UFO quietly moved off and, rising higher and higher, slowly and silently flew towards the central part of the city of Kamensk. He passed almost over the head of Nikolai Zheleznyak, who fell in fear at that moment to the ground …
In the morning, Alexander Shaman, the owner of the house where Nikolai and his colleague spent the night, said:
- Something woke me up at night. I went to the window and saw a gigantic soup bowl turned upside down in the steppe behind a fence in the steppe. Everything shone around the plate. She hovered above the ground, leaning on a black pole. Suddenly the pillar disappeared and the saucer began to take off slowly. I don’t know what happened next. Fear seized me. I threw myself into bed, covered my head with a blanket, and soon imperceptibly fell asleep.
In the place in the steppe, where two, therefore, different witnesses saw a UFO in the middle of the night, Alexander usually grazes a goat belonging to him. So, the next day, early in the morning, he brought the goat there. The rope, tied to a loop on the goat's throat, was wound around a peg driven into the ground. And he left the goat to graze.
Soon, this horned creature began to scream like a publicized one.
Half an hour later, Alexander, who was tired of listening to the hysterical goat bleating, again went, swearing, to the steppe. The goat must be sick, he decided. Alexander brought the obnoxious cattle home with a tinned throat and locked them in a barn. The goat stopped yelling.
Testimony of Alexander Shaman:
- When at exactly six o'clock in the morning I tied the goat to a peg, my joints of my arms and legs suddenly started to hurt. And when he came to the same place for the second time, in order to take the screaming creature home, the pain in the joints increased dramatically. Analgin did not help. Shooting pains drilled through the bones in my limbs. I couldn't go to work that day. The legs refused to walk. Only in the evening the pain subsided a little. They were completely gone in three days.
Nikolai Zheleznyak's assumption:
- Probably, those people who were turned up in turns in small groups under the "flying saucer" gave their consent to evacuation from Earth. The aliens have agreed, apparently, separately with each of them. And then they took everyone to the "gathering place", for example, on some small flying sloops, although I personally have not seen anything similar to such sloops in the steppe. Maybe people were taken to the "gathering place" in some other way? Not
I know … Having delivered them, they loaded them all aboard a large mother ship, strictly guarded by a detachment of elite thugs. And - goodbye Mother Earth forever!

- A group of 15-18 people, who agreed, according to Zheleznyak's guess, to evacuate, was transferred to the "gathering place" from places far from it. For example, one person was from Stavropol, another - from near Krasnodar, the third - from the Volgograd region, and so on. N., in early November 1990 in the city of Kamensk, Rostov region, the UFO phenomenon was indeed observed.
We bring to your attention that in addition to the two witnesses you named, the fact of contact of the UFO crew with a group of people not identified to this day was also observed by other eyewitnesses identified by Yu. N. Kartashov. "Flying saucer".
