Since childhood, we have become accustomed to a simple explanation of the existence of this mysterious wonder bird. The mythical creature of Russian fairy tales, she is the object of the hero's search. Firebird feathers have the ability to glow and shine, striking the eyes of people. Its feathers gleam with silver and gold, wings like tongues of flame, eyes glowing like crystals. Reaches the size of a peacock.

But there is also a different opinion about this creature. Here is what the authoritative American magazine Fate writes about it.

The existence of strange and unclassified life forms that may inhabit the near-Earth atmosphere has long been the subject of speculation and private research. And in myths, fairy tales and folklore of many cultures, such creatures are common. For example, it can be a vision in the form of a sylph, a bird with metal plumage, a natural phenomenon (fireball), or a handicraft. In folklore, such creatures are depicted as soft and kind creatures, however, some facts and legends define them as heavenly predators and evil creatures.

Researcher Scott Correls unearthed reports from the archives of a "firebird" that caused a fire in Rome in 106 BC and was also involved in a conflagration in Puerto Rico (in the 1970s). press in 1997.

In the 1950s, researcher Trevor James Constable managed to take a photograph of an ethereal creature over the Mojave Desert in California, for which he used an infrared lens. The famous filmmaker Jose Escamilla at one time shocked the world by presenting video footage with footage where he shot fast-flying creatures, whom he himself called sticks. This record was declared authentic by the scientific commission and to this day haunts scientists with its inexplicability.

Fortean magazine correspondent Vincent P. Gaddis told a thrilling tale of "celestial serpents", which he later published in the book "Mystical Lights and Light". The creatures, which the journalist spoke about, reached the size of 20 m, they became troublemakers in the city of Crawfordsville (Indiana) in September 1891, about which numerous eyewitness accounts have survived. Among them was a local pastor who testified: "These creatures had their eyes burning, and their breath burned at a great distance."

HEAVENLY COLLISIONS

Such creatures were captured in his drawings and published in color edition by William Gordon. In this he was helped by eyewitnesses of such a phenomenon and the documentary of 1976 "UFOs Dominate" with the rarest shots, where these rare creatures, or a phenomenon, were filmed.

Already mentioned here Vincent P. Gaddis noted a strange coincidence associated with the fire birds: "… September 11, 1948, thousands of birds were killed and maimed in a collision with the famous Empire State Building in New York." A similar incident happened in Baltimore, where a huge flock of birds crashed into the WBAL (Weather Bureau) broadcast tower.

It should be noted here that on that very day (September 11, 1948) the weather was beautiful and sunny, no fog was observed. Experts explain the absurd behavior of the birds with a swift attack on them, which was made by heavenly predators, invisible to the human eye. In any case, the behavior of the birds that day is not ordinary.

30 years before the mentioned event in the Monthly Weather Review for May 1917, we read an interesting article describing the phenomenon when hundreds of birds of various species fell dead from the clear sky onto the city of Baton Rouge (Louisiana). The reasons for the bird fall remained unknown. But Vincent Gaddis recalls that more than a thousand dead petrels fell on the heads of residents of the California town of Capitola Beach in August 1960. And the same for no apparent reason.

Charles Fort's book, The Book of Curses, contains many recorded stories of a similar nature. One note is taken from the official journal of the Swedish Academy of Sciences. It says that a kind of jelly-like substance fell on the coastal city, in structure resembling soft stretching plastic to the touch.

But naturalist and writer Ivan T. Sanderson collects all such stories from the press and radio programs, discussing them live with bird watchers and scientists. He still managed to find one regularity after the flocks of dead birds "dropped out". This is the presence in the sky at that moment of the trail of the inversion of a jet plane. The presence of such an insignificant and ephemeral fact, of course, does not prove anything, but without fish…, as they say.

AEROGEL

No less mysterious than fire-carrying birds is a mysterious substance found in some areas of the earth's atmosphere, which scientists call an airgel. This strange substance was once dealt with by the US National Laboratory. Having spent a lot of money on this, she came to the conclusion: this substance is a transitional state of matter, borderline between gaseous and solid. When heated, the airgel changes its physical properties and becomes lighter than air. This substance was then called "solid smoke", it was delivered to Earth laboratories from space (from Comet Wild-2) by an unmanned spacecraft Stardust Mission. In the laboratory, employees were amazed: touching the airgel with their hands, a person did not feel it or felt it. It was a strange thing: the thing is in front of your eyes, but in fact it is not.

When heated, the airgel changes its physical properties and becomes lighter than air.

Imagine the surprise, embarrassment and confusion of Florida detective Faustin Gallegos, who first discovered this mystical substance at the scene of the crime on December 28, 1958. He was obliged to draw up an act of discovery with an inventory of the substance or substance. What could Gallegos have recorded? He put the find, which took the shape of a ball, in a glass laboratory vessel for preservation until the morning. But by morning the jellyfish-like gelatinous substance had completely evaporated, leaving no smell in memory of itself.

So, we are dealing with a substance, a substance or something else that is impossible to smell, touch, hold in a closed solid space and even describe. So why do we exclude the possibility of the existence of aerial predators with pyrotechnic inclinations, as well as birds invisible to the human eye, instilling fear in their brethren, that they fall to the ground dead?

There is only one reason: we are not used to believing in what we cannot see, touch, smell.

By the way, in modern literature we have only one description of the attack by air predators of man. This is a scene from the bestselling book "Dragon's Triangle" by the American writer Charles Berlitz. It was published in 1989. It should be borne in mind that the writer used in his work a real story that took place in the practice of the scientist researcher Robert Coe Gardner.

In the summer of 1939, a transport plane took off from the military airfield of the naval base in San Diego, which flew over the Pacific Ocean. But within an hour after the flight, the base received an urgent SOS signal from this aircraft on the radio, after which there was complete silence on the air. And the board itself headed back to base.

After an emergency landing in San Diego, a terrifying and startling picture appeared before the eyes of the base employees. 12 of the 13 crew members were dead. The plane was brought to the base by the 2nd pilot, who was unconscious by the time the engines stopped. He later died on the way to the hospital. All crew members (already dead) were found to have large and deep lacerations on their bodies. The body of the aircraft was also distorted. It is not even clear how he was able to reach the base with such terrible damage. And a strange thing: all the crew members were empty of pistol clips and revolver drums. There was no doubt that they were frightened of someone and desperately shot back to the last bullet. But who or what were they shooting at? Then this episode was silenced by order, but it became known to Gardner in 1954,what he told in his book.

PS The conclusion of the correspondents of scientific publications is simple: in the clear and blue sky above our heads, not everything is as transparent, clear and obvious as it seems in wonderful sunny weather. And the firebird may be sitting on an apple tree in your garden at your dacha. Be attentive to the world around us. He is so enigmatic and mysterious …
