On August 17, 1953, at 6 p.m., 40-year-old taxi driver Salvador Villanueva from Ciudad Valleys (Mexico) was under his car on the main road when he suddenly saw two pairs of legs, clad in cloth that looked like “shabby velveteen”and, looking out, found a couple of benevolent looking people about 1.3 meters tall. They wore tight-fitting clothes with wide shiny perforated sashes, metal collars around their necks, and small black shiny drawers behind their backs. In their hands, the men held "helmets" similar to those worn by American football players.
Their small stature did not surprise El Salvador, since in Mexico many Indians are short, and he thought they were pilots from some neighboring Latin American republic. One man spoke Spanish well, but pronounced the words together in a strange way. When it started raining, he offered the strangers to hide in the car, but their behavior alerted him. Suddenly one of them said: “We are not from this planet. We have arrived from afar, but we know a lot about your world."
At dawn, he escorted them to a ship hidden half a kilometer from the road. We had to cross a swampy area, he sank deeply, but the feet of the little people remained clean. “When their feet touched the muddy puddles, their belts began to glow, and the mud bounced away, as if it were being thrown by some invisible force,” Salvador recalled.
The UFO was approximately 12 meters in diameter and was "classically" similar to stacked plates, one on top of the other. The small dome housed portholes. The ship stood on three large metal supports, and a faint hum emanated from them. Part of the dark hull of the ship was exposed, forming a staircase with handrails.
The short aliens went inside, inviting Villanuev to follow them, but he stopped and ran back some distance. Then he watched the UFO slowly rise, similar to the movement of a pendulum or "like the fall of a leaf," only upward. As the ship climbed several hundred feet, it accelerated and sped upward with a faint hissing sound.
