Borobudur is a Buddhist stupa, together with a temple and is located in Indonesia, near the city of Yogyakarta. But why is the object so interesting?
The ideal comparison for a structure is the pyramid of Cheops. The fact is that the stupa was built from 2 million blocks, the pyramid, for comparison, from 2.3 million, that is, approximately one volume of work, if other factors are not taken into account.
The building was built, according to the official version, in the VIII-IX centuries.
The story says that the temple was discovered 200 years ago, in the 19th century, and before that, it was allegedly lost over the past 1,000 years.
Not only was it found in the 19th century, but it was also then partially underground, like many buildings in the world.
First of all, the structure itself is interesting here, namely its dimensions and other elements.

The foundation is square and one side measures about 118 meters. The height, of course, is not as great as that of the Cheops pyramid, but 35 meters is also not small.
But the most interesting thing is the architecture, namely the bas-reliefs and statues, in principle, as in India, are impressive. It can be assumed that one civilization was engaged in the construction.
The stupa has 8 tiers, 72 small stupas and about 1,500 bas-reliefs and just over 500 statues.
Due to the complex, small and well-made bas-reliefs and statues, the idea arises that this structure may surpass the Cheops pyramid in terms of the amount of work and technologies that unknown civilizations of the past had to use.
