Often in places of landing and flight of UFOs, witnesses find strange glassy fibers, like hairs, called "Angel hair"
After a short period of time, they melt from the heat, leaving a transparent precipitate. Scientists have already managed to study the composition of this strange substance, but the reasons for its appearance are still not understood. Many scientific skeptics are not satisfied with the version of alien origin.
Several cases have been recorded when "Angel's hair" for no apparent reason, like a spider web, floated in the air, gradually sinking to the ground. In other situations, the appearance of a sticky filament coating on the ground is directly associated with the observation of a UFO.
Scientists already know the composition of the fibers. This includes boron, silicon, calcium and magnesium. In 1954, when systematic studies of this phenomenon began, the Italian chemist Danilo Cozzi defined this substance as boron-silicon glass in an unstable state.
In total, several hundred facts of the discovery of "Angel hair" have been recorded. In a dozen cases, the observers managed to collect samples of the substance and deliver them to scientific laboratories. But after establishing the composition of the celestial filaments, the research could not progress further - scientists cannot name the reasons that cause such phenomena.
The first mention of "Angel hair" dates back to 1898, when a similar flying web fell on the city of Montgomery in the United States. But the most famous case happened in Venice in 1954. On October 27, Gennaro Lucetti and Pietro Lastrucci sat on the balcony of a hotel in St. Mark's Square. At the same time, they noticed two spindle-shaped objects that, spinning, floated across the sky. Traces like white flames followed.
The objects followed at high speed across the sky, made a smooth 180-degree turn and disappeared over the horizon.
A few minutes later, participants and spectators of a football match in Florence were able to observe the UFO. In addition to teams and referees, the stadium was attended by about 10 thousand spectators, as well as journalists. The match had to be interrupted as everyone's attention was riveted on the flying cigars. But even then it was not possible to resume the game - it turned out that the entire football field was covered with a transparent sticky web.
It was the samples of this sediment that were delivered to Danilo Cozzi and his colleagues a few minutes later. It was necessary to collect the "Angel's hair" very carefully - they decomposed on contact with human skin or rolled into dense balls if handled carelessly.
American ufologist Charles Mainey suggested that "Angel's hair" is the material result of the work of UFO engines, which are thrown out like the exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. He explains the rapid evaporation of the remains by the fact that such a substance is very unstable in our reality and disappears, moving into a more familiar space-time for him. Other ufologists have suggested that the heavenly web is the materialization of certain spiritual forces, like the ectoplasm that appears during spiritualistic seances.
Now modern science has a difficult task to solve. On the one hand, "Angel hair" is a real-life phenomenon that has been observed and even partially studied. On the other hand, the alien version of the origin does not suit meteorologists, physicists and chemists, who are looking for a simpler, terrestrial explanation of this phenomenon. However, the facts continue to accumulate, and there is still no explanation for them.
