A strange noise, coming from the night sky, alarmed thousands of residents of the capital on the night of July 29-30

The militiamen of the South-East, South and South-West districts of the capital tried to find the source of the roar. However, it was not possible to find and detain the troublemaker of the night peace.

As it became known to "MK", the first, around midnight, the incomprehensible rumble was heard by the residents of the Moscow Region Korolyov.

“At first it looked like a rumble that is made by the cars of drag racers,” one of the eyewitnesses Sergei Ivanov told MK. - It seemed that a whole column of sports cars without mufflers was approaching the house from the direction of the Zagoryansky village. Then it became clear that the hum was coming from the sky. But the source of the sound was not visible. Transport and military aircraft from the Chkalovsky airfield often fly here. But they usually go quite high, and the noise from them is not so disgusting."

After 2-3 minutes, the hum began to subside, and its source began to move away towards Moscow. The rescue service started receiving calls from alarmed residents at 0.22. All people reported strange noise coming straight from the sky. Police and prefectural officials joined the search for the source. But they failed to find the culprit. After two in the morning everything was quiet. The militiamen suggested that the noise was caused by the installation of some bulky equipment at CHPP # 20. However, in Mosenergo "MK" was assured that no work was carried out at the capital's CHPPs that night. The Moscow Center for Automated Air Traffic Control said that all airliners came in and took off without disruption.

According to one of the versions, an air hooligan invaded the sky over Moscow, who flew either on a hang-glider or in a small plane.
