How religions appear, where are the origins of various religious and occult rites. Have you ever wondered where these or those traditions and rituals come from? Who taught a person to be baptized, bow down and take off their headdress at certain times?

Many scientists argue that all modern religions appeared under the influence of aliens, and the phenomenon of the Cargo Cult can serve as proof of this theory.

Cargo Cult

During the Second World War on the Melanesian Islands in the Pacific Ocean, one unusual religion was born - the "Cargo Cult". This religion appeared as a result of contact between natives and civilized aliens.

The American army, which fought with Japan, established military bases on the islands. Runways were built there, on which military fighters, bombers and cargo planes landed. Sometimes the planes did not land, but dropped their cargo on the islands and flew back.

Before these events, the natives had never seen a white man before, so they watched the military with interest. Moreover, these white people had so many amazing and even magical things: lighters, flashlights, cans with sweets inside, metal knives, fire water and much, much more. The natives saw that all these magical things came from the sky.

After a while, the natives realized that white people did not work to get all these fabulous gizmos. They did not grind grain, hunt animals, or collect fruit. Instead, they drew stripes on the ground, put on headphones and spoke incomprehensible words. They also shone searchlights into the sky and waved flags. For this, iron birds flew in and threw off their cargo. And the pale-faced ones lined up in even rows and shouted unknown words.

The war ended, the Americans closed their bases, said goodbye to the natives in a friendly way, and flew away on their iron birds. At this point, the time of magic things and delicious food for the natives ended.

It was then that the islanders decided that in order to get all these wonderful things, they had to do what the whites did: put on headphones, shout spells, light bonfires and just wait. After all, it was quite obvious that the American soldiers did absolutely nothing, but were only engaged in performing magical rituals.

In the late 1980s, anthropologists flew to one of the Melanesian Islands. Researchers found that a completely unprecedented religion had appeared there. Pillars were stuck all over the island, which were connected with hemp ropes. The natives built wicker towers with antennas, waved flags, shouted something into bamboo microphones, and had something like headphones on their heads. The black bodies of the savages were painted to resemble military uniforms with USA letters and orders. They even marched with wicker rifles in their hands.

Iron birds with magical gizmos did not come, and the natives believed that they did not pray well. There were also priests who knew better than ordinary tribesmen how to march and build towers!
