A python wound up in the Voronezh River 60 kilometers from Lipetsk?
Residents of the village of Bolshoy Mechek, Khlevensky District, Lipetsk Region, claim that a giant reptile has started up in the Voronezh River flowing near the village. According to Bolshemechkovites, the snake settled in the river at the end of August. At the same time, on the shores of Voronezh, villagers found a metal cage, similar to a container for transporting animals.
The first unusual animal was noticed in the river by a 50-year-old summer resident from Voronezh Nikolai Alekseev. At the end of August, he was fishing, and in the vicinity of the float he noticed a strange bobbing. True, according to the summer resident, the creature he noticed belongs rather to warm-blooded than reptiles.

She loves to swim from coast to coast, walk in reed thickets, and calm down.
Relevant residents have a version of the appearance of a reptile in the waters of Voronezh. It turns out that shortly before the strange events, a small metal cage was found on the banks of the river. After standing for several days, she disappeared. But the thought that it was in it that one of the townspeople having a rest brought an overseas reptile to warm up in Voronezh, and it suddenly disappeared into the nearby bushes, sat down in the heads of the villagers.

Having worked all her life in Africa as a translator, and having seen enough of all the exotic there, Iraida Smolyakova considers the mysterious creature to be an ordinary catfish.
“I saw how a young man who was engaged in underwater hunting pulled a large catfish out of the water,” says Iraida Smolyakova. - True, he did not drag the fish to the shore. I decided to take a picture. I asked my wife to run for the camera. While the wife was rushing behind the camera, the slippery fish slipped into the water.
According to Iraida Smolyakova, since then, the wounded catfish lives near the Bolshemechkovsky beach. The fish cannot sink to the bottom because of the wound. And so it keeps its head on the surface.
As the serpentologist of the Galichya Gora reserve Mikhail Ushakov told GOROD48, stories when pythons crawled away from their owners are rare in Russia, but they do happen.
