Many old estates surrounded by mystical legends have survived on the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region. Some associate it with curses, while others, on the contrary, consider it "places of power" where one can feed on light energy

One way or another, such places invariably attract psychics, lovers of meditation and researchers of anomalous phenomena.

One of the most mysterious stories is associated with the castle of Baroness Mayendorf, which is located in Barvikha near Moscow. The castle was built in 1885 on the site of an old estate designed by the architect Pavel Boytsov. But the initiator of the construction was Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Mayendorf, daughter of General Kazakov, who was literally obsessed with chivalric romances and dreamed of having her own Gothic castle …

Indeed, the castle was built in the Gothic style and in accordance with tradition, surrounded by a park. And nearby on the lake, the Baroness ordered to build a stone bridge and a dam, intended for romantic walks.

But that is not all. It is said that an underground tunnel was built from Mayendorf castle to the nearest railway or to the pond. It was through this dungeon that the Baroness and her husband managed to elude the Bolsheviks in 1917. At parting, the owner allegedly uttered the words of a curse: "Let this place be empty!"

Indeed, in the Soviet era, the building constantly passed from hand to hand and was sometimes empty. In different periods, it housed, for example, a colony for the children of dead Red Army soldiers and the elite sanatorium "Barvikha", where such celebrities as Bulgakov, Prishvin, Shostakovich, Gagarin, Korolev, Kurchatov were treated in their time …

In the mid-2000s, the castle underwent a complex reconstruction. Summit meetings and other official events are held there today.

The Kuzminki district got its name from the estate built here at the beginning of the 18th century by Grigory Stroganov, who received these lands as a gift from Peter I. Later, the Golitsyn princes owned the estate.

On June 16, 1904, a strong hurricane struck Kuzminki, uprooted, broke and knocked down about a hundred thousand trees … And the day before, according to legend, a group of Moscow mysticism lovers arranged excavations in the area of Elizarov's dacha, which is better known as Lenin's dacha. The house belonged to the sister and son-in-law of Vladimir Ilyich - Anna and Mark Elizarov, also revolutionaries.

About 20 years ago, Elizarov's former dacha burned down almost to the ground. Maybe it’s a coincidence, but soon after that Kuzminki began to revive: restoration of the estate began, restoration of ponds, cleaning up the neglected park … Now it is one of the favorite recreation areas of Muscovites.

Various events are held here; several museums operate on the territory of the park, in particular, a literary museum, a museum of carriages and automobiles, a museum-estate of the Golitsyn, as well as a museum of the Russian estate. However, the place is still considered difficult …

The Kuskovo estate, once the summer residence of the Sheremetyevs, is now a monument of culture and architecture of the 18th century. But the most mysterious place in Kuskovo is not the estate itself, but a glade in the park, which Moscow parapsychologists and bioenergy specialists consider a mental “place of power”.

Knowledgeable people claim that powerful energy emanates from the meadow, which affects the whole of Moscow, even at the level of social processes. It corresponds to the water and fire elements, as well as the Sun. Parapsychologists recommend using this clearing for meditation and relaxation sessions. It is useful to be here for representatives of creative professions, as this place releases the energy of creative flows, charges with ideas.

Another of the local "astral places" is an islet in the center of the pond in front of the former Sheremetyev palace. According to parapsychologists, it belongs to the "vital" zones, that is, it can give life energy. This place corresponds to the elements of the Earth and the planet Saturn. You can come here for health purposes, experts advise. In addition, the island is suitable for future meditations.

However, Kuskovo attracts not only lovers of meditation, but also drug addicts, homeless people and sectarians. They say that on one of the shabby houses that we meet on the way to the park, the corpse of a swallow has been hanging for five years. And once on the territory of the park they found the corpse of a dog, in which someone gouged out his eyes, poked his face with needles, and carved some sign on his forehead, most likely satanic … So, as in many "places of power", both light and dark energies are present here …
