Most likely, almost everyone has heard at least something about the Antikythera mechanism, or as it is called "The world's first computer". But it is clear that there could not be one mechanism on the ship, in this article I will tell you about some more finds from that ship.
I will say right away that I will not say anything about not particularly significant finds, for example, about clothes and ancient vessels. But something else interesting was discovered there.
First, it's worth telling a little about the ship. It is believed that he was carrying cargo to someone in Rome, and all this was about 2200-2300 years ago. The study of the sunken ship began in 2012, and no matter how surprising it is, it is still being investigated, at least the last expedition is known in 2018.
And now, to other finds. The most interesting thing, after the Antikythera mechanism, is the bronze hand. Although it was stated that it was for some kind of statue or something else, all versions are dubious compared to the version of the ancient prosthesis.
It may sound like something fantastic, but when the hand was studied by many experts, they repeatedly stated that the hand is separate and this is not a fragment.
Moreover, there is information that there is a special part on the end of the hand to connect it, but not the fact that this is true.

By the way, a bronze statue was found there, only she has both hands, although it can be seen that she lay in the water for a long time and this affected her condition.
And finally, it is worth mentioning the find, which raises some questions. It is an oxidized iron object in which some kind of metal vessel or something like that is fixed.
This find is in a very poor condition, but it would be interesting to know what it is and, most importantly, to understand what is inside. Perhaps it is an ancient battery or some device.
Well, it should be said about the Antikythera mechanism. Many say that it has already been fully investigated and a version has been put forward, and even this topic should not be raised, but this is not so.
A completely antikythera mechanism has not been found at all. Many fragments were lost and scattered along the bottom, so you can't build at least some versions of what the object was.
In addition, there is, in fact, no official version of the object's purpose, or they are all dubious and indistinct.
Now we can only guess what kind of mechanism it is that cannot be explained for a long time, and the same prosthesis. In general, as always, there are many questions, but no answers.
