“In the Komi Republic, in the Priluzsky region, there is a Black Lake. It is notorious among the local population: for example, boats turn over there in absolutely calm weather, fishermen drown. They say that an unknown animal lives in the lake. This lake supposedly has several levels: the bottom, then the sinkhole, and below - a new reservoir.
A friend of mine told me that as a child he once played on the shore of this lake with friends. And suddenly a creature resembling a small crocodile, a little more than a meter in length, crawled out of the water onto the shore. The boys got scared and ran away. But they are not the only ones who have seen this creature. There are many old people in the surrounding villages who saw him at different times.
I asked the person who told me all this (he, by the way, holds a high position in the penitentiary system of the Komi Republic) why he does not report this anywhere. Here is his answer: “Ninety-nine percent for not being found! And who will I be? Yap. Or worse … And I lead people! Actually, I understand him! Once, being on a regular business trip to Komi, I went to this Black Lake. We were shaking at the UAZ for a long time. Around the forest is not very powerful - the trees are not too large - but completely impassable: swamps, windbreaks, thicket …
The lake is small and outwardly does not make any terrible impression. I had my camera ready. For two or three hours I walked along the shore. And suddenly I saw something strange: in the complete absence of wind and completely calm water, a breaker (a high foamy wave) was moving along the surface.
The impression was that someone was swimming very quickly, slightly rising above the water and raising a whole fountain around him.
It was quite far from the coast, in the cloud of spray I could not see anything. Well, and it was perhaps a meter and a half by one and a half in size, I'm afraid to deceive. I managed to click the device 2-3 times. Then everything disappeared.
In Syktyvkar, I rushed to a photo studio. The pictures showed absolutely calm, without any breakers, the surface of the Black Lake …
I then spoke with that very high-ranking acquaintance of mine. He spoke very vaguely. Maybe, they say, some rare animal lives there in the depths … And he could not explain the story of the breaker at all. Personally, I have a different opinion.
