Afhseen Qumbar, a nine-year-old Pakistani girl, lives in constant pain due to her neck being rotated 90 degrees.
Her condition is not yet clear, since it has not been studied. Presumably there is a muscle disorder.
Local doctors have failed to diagnose Afsin's condition and her family desperately asks for help from qualified doctors.
Due to her illness, the girl cannot stand and walk normally, she mostly spends the whole day sitting. She needs outside help even to eat and go to the toilet.
Afsin and her family live in Mithi, Sindh province. Afsin's father, Allah Jurio, 55, and her mother, Jamilan, 50, work on a local farm, but their earnings are barely enough to pay for food. They said that they took their daughter to many doctors, but no one could help them. Jamilan says they were advised to go to a medical center in Karachi and put the girl in hospital for testing, but the family has no money to do so.
Afsin's crooked neck is not a congenital condition, but an acquired one. When the girl was 8 months old, she fell to the ground while playing and hit her neck hard. After that, she began to experience severe pain, and with age, her neck began to curve and the pain also intensified.

“She can't do anything on her own, she can't walk, she can't stand, she just sits in the corner all the time and plays with her younger brothers and sisters, says the girl's mother.
Afsin also does not go to school, not only because it is difficult for her, but because of the constant ridicule and insults from other children and adults.
“People say very bad things about my daughter. They often just laugh at her and this also hurts us very much. We are tired of enduring constant ridicule and discrimination from others."
Some doctors believe the girl has a muscle disorder or a spinal abnormality. Dr. Dilip Kumar, who has a private clinic in Mithi, examined Afsin and is sure that for an accurate diagnosis and treatment, the family needs to go to the Karachi medical center, since there is the necessary equipment for examination. But the girl's family cannot afford such expenses.
