The classic borders of the Bermuda Triangle stretch from Miami in Florida to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Bermuda. Most of the mysterious events take place in the southern part of the triangle, in the strait between Florida and the Bahamas.
About a hundred aircraft and ships were lost or wrecked in the area, taking with them the lives of more than a thousand people: men, women, children. No one can exactly answer the question of what is the cause of their death. Human factor
Since the human factor is not a sensational thing at all, this version can be considered one of the most recent in explaining the events of the Bermuda Triangle, although it also has a right to life. According to the theory of probability, those ships that crashed and disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle were just a victim of crew errors. Man is a creature that makes mistakes regularly. Even the most experienced professional pilots can momentarily lose concentration, which often leads to disasters. The most famous disappearance of aircraft in the Bermuda Triangle occurred on December 5, 1945. The squadron leader was Lieutenant Charles Taylor, a naval instructor pilot. Taylor was far from a beginner in his field, so the story of the disappearance of as many as 5 planes, which he commanded, seems very mystical. The military was about to practice flying before approaching a target over the Florida Keys south of Florida, but was somehow disoriented on the way home and disappeared somewhere near the Bahamas. Fourteen pilots, along with their planes, disappeared into the depths of the ocean, and the wreckage was never found.
A team of rescuers was sent to search for the missing squadron, including the Martin Mariner seaplane, which also disappeared without a trace for some unknown reason. This is a very strange event for professional military pilots, but the coincidence of certain circumstances fully allows such a development of events. Taylor's radio talks have survived, and in them he indicates that his compass has failed. Since he could no longer navigate by the magnetic north pole, he and his team attempted to head west towards the Florida coast to catch the midday sun in front of them. These attempts were unsuccessful. Taylor may have confused the Bahamas coastline with the Florida coastline.

Gulf Stream
The Gulf Stream is often blamed for the fact that in the shallow waters where it passes, they often cannot find any wreckage of sunken ships or crashed aircraft. This current is a salty river on the ocean's surface that has a higher temperature than the surrounding waters, forcing it to flow northward along the east coast of the United States. The current itself is generally about 100 kilometers wide and 760 to 1220 meters deep, and its speed at the surface reaches 2.5 meters per second. The strength of this current is such that it allows hydroelectric power plants to supply energy to all of North America. In the area of the Bermuda Triangle, the Gulf Stream is the most powerful and fastest near the surface of the water.
If ships sink or planes crash in the area, they are immediately swept away by the current for several hours or more, depending on the severity of the damage to the vessel. The Gulf Stream can drag debris with it until they settle at great depths where the current cannot reach. That is, even if the ship crashed in one place, its wreckage will be resting completely in another. When rescuers tried to locate a wrecked ship or plane where communication was interrupted, they saw a calm ocean and nothing else, even if they searched within a radius of hundreds of kilometers. This does not explain why ships and aircraft crashed, but it does explain why the wreckage was never found, even if the search began relatively quickly.
Abnormal killer waves
Abnormal waves, more than 30 meters high, were considered just a theory for several hundred years until their existence was proved on January 1, 1995, on an oil rig in Norway. With strong sea waves with an average wave height of about 10 meters, the drilling rig was safe, as it was at a sufficient height, until one day it encountered a wave about 25 meters high, which inflicted light damage on it. This was confirmed by sensors, which proved that the sailors' superstitious stories about sea monsters were true.
Waves are perhaps the worst cataclysms that you can encounter at sea. Their appearance cannot be predicted, no mathematical calculations can predict where and when they will appear. Several tens of medium-height waves under certain conditions can turn into one giant wave, which will grow even more. Waves have no maximum limit. Waves of 25 meters may seem even relatively small.
In 1985, a 48-meter wave hit the southern coast of Ireland. Such giant vertical walls of water can easily knock over even supertankers and sink them in no time. Killer waves are not caused by just one factor, but mostly because of strong winds and currents that raise the waves. These waves occur quite rarely, about 1 rogue wave in 200 thousand ordinary waves. They are more common in the Bermuda Triangle than in the calm ocean, due to hurricanes and the Gulf Stream. Waves 50 meters high can not only sink ships, but also carry low-flying aircraft and helicopters to the bottom, especially those belonging to the Coast Guard and specially fly low over the water in search of sunken ships and surviving crew members.
Methane hydrate
Methane hydrate is a chemical that combines methane gas with water. There are a huge number of deposits of this substance in the world, many of which are not yet known. Methane gas penetrates the natural structures of water, forming something like ice. Deposits of this substance are located under the seabed and can form at any depth, even at a depth of only a few centimeters. Depending on its size, the methane hydrate layer has enormous potential energy, and if it comes out right away, it can blow up an entire oil well. It was methane hydrate that was involved in the Deepwater Horizon disaster. An oil drill hit deposits of this substance under the seabed, causing methane to destroy and sank the oil rig.
It seems plausible that methane hydrate could break through the ocean floor, releasing methane gas to the surface where the ship is sailing. If this happens, the methane will turn the area around the ship into foam, greatly reducing buoyancy, so any sea-going vessel from a wooden boat to a huge tanker can sink in less than 10 seconds. During such a time, no one can escape by leaving the ship. The ocean itself can simply swallow the ship whole.
Hurricanes
The Bermuda Triangle is located in the area of the so-called "Hurricane Alley", where terrible hurricanes occur every year. Today it is quite easy to avoid these hurricanes at sea as sailors keep a close eye on weather forecasts. Hurricanes can be predicted a week or more in advance, so ships simply won't enter high-risk areas. However, hurricanes can predict modern technology. Mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle have been talked about since the days of the Spanish and Portuguese conquistadors.
The most unpredictable and most dangerous byproduct of a hurricane can be microburst, an unexpected downdraft caused by thunderstorm activity. When the air stream collides with the surface, it diverges in different directions at a high speed - more than 270 kilometers per hour, regardless of the strength of the hurricane itself. This stream of air is capable of uprooting large trees and, of course, can sink any ship. Aircraft can also be damaged. Experienced pilots and captains can become victims of microbursts, and if this happens in the Gulf Stream, the wreckage of a ship or plane will disappear without a trace.
Deviation from the right path
It is generally accepted that the Earth's electromagnetic field has holes. There are many areas on Earth where the compass will not point straight north. Naturally, all compasses point to magnetic north: if you travel around the planet, the compass needle will turn towards the magnetic pole, but not show the real north pole. Moreover, compasses can behave very strange in some parts of the world.
If you head to the real magnetic north pole, the arrow will circle in place, and if you approach the real North or South pole with a compass, it will point in the direction of the magnetic north pole. In the Altai Mountains near the Gobi Desert, there are magnetic stones that can also knock down the compass needle, which can show the direction to these mountains, if you are not too far from them.
Compasses also show the wrong direction in the Bermuda Triangle. Several thousand sailors, pilots and travelers on ships and airplanes of different sizes complained that they could not count on compass readings while in the Bermuda Triangle.
This is an open ocean, so no one knows about any underwater anomalies. The seabed was mapped using sonar. The wreckage of ships or aircraft are not magnets and therefore have no bearing on compass readings. Whatever the cause of electromagnetic disturbances, it rarely affects the compasses, although there have been reports that the arrows begin to spin periodically. It is easy enough to navigate by the sun or stars, provided that they are visible in the sky. Yet the strange behavior of compasses remains a mystery, but it was the cause of only a few disasters.
Muscon gravity anomaly
Muscon means the concentration of mass in the case of gravity. The mascons theory appeared when people began to explore space. Until the 1970s, scientists believed that mascons only occurred on massive celestial bodies such as the Sun. More is known today. There are positive and negative mascons for every celestial body in the universe. No one knows exactly what causes them, but nowhere are they more pronounced than on the Moon.
Astronauts in the 1960s noted noticeable deviations from the orbits of satellites that orbited the moon, whether artificial or natural. These deviations usually coincided with lunar "seas" such as the Sea of Tranquility, as well as the largest impact craters. It was found that the soil of these seas is composed of basalt, so they are darker in color, and basalt is much denser than the lighter soil and rocks around them.
When an object in the Moon's orbit flies over these areas, the denser material pulls it with more gravity than elsewhere. If the gravitational attraction of the Earth is taken per unit, then such an attraction on the Moon will be one-sixth, on Jupiter - 2.53, and the attraction of a neutron star will have a force of 10-11. The mascons of the Moon are so powerful that not a single satellite can survive in its orbit for more than 4 years without correction. If you do not correct the position of the satellites, they will overcome many mascons until the satellite leaves orbit and goes into free flight.
You are currently on some kind of mask, positive or negative, but it is so small in size and density that you may not feel it. For example, the gravitational pull is slightly less in the Swiss Alps than in Paris, France. Gravitational discrepancies are all around us. It is possible that small, but incredibly powerful and dense positive mascons are located under the seabed in the Bermuda Triangle. They could affect the movement of ships if a storm was added to everything, and sink the ship in a couple of seconds. Since air is a much less dense medium than water, the influence of mascons in the air can be much stronger, as we see in the case of the moons of the moon.
Aliens
It is easy to find a cryptic explanation for an already mysterious incident. The adventures of strange intelligent beings from other planets or from parallel dimensions immediately come to mind. Aliens were often blamed for the disappearances of ships and planes, along with people, who abducted earthlings for various purposes. According to legend, aliens are very interested in people, so they often abduct someone in the Bermuda Triangle. Spielberg used this idea in his feature film, Close Encounters of the Third Degree.
Using this theory, they tried to explain the mysterious disappearance of the crew of the ghost ship "Maria Celeste", which sailed a few hundred kilometers north of Bermuda, although it was not in the Bermuda Triangle. However, one of the most mysterious disappearances was the disappearance of the Cyclops, an armed military cargo ship that was carrying 11,000 tons of manganese for the army.
Raw manganese is non-flammable, so if there was an explosion, it was not caused by the load. A boiler could explode, from which even such a large ship could sink, but even if it did, the wooden parts of the ship would remain floating on the surface of the water, and the Gulf Stream would carry them north to the East Coast, or to the shores of Bermuda.
The Cyclops left the port of Rio de Janeiro on February 16, 1918, and was bound for Baltimore, Maryland. He stopped in the Brazilian state of Bahia on 20 February and then in Barbados to check if he was overloaded. He was deemed safe and sailable and was sent towards the Bermuda Triangle. Some of us may wonder if we fully understand Einstein's theory of relativity? According to this theory, space and time combine in order to create one whole. A hole in the space-time continuum, however, may not necessarily be a black hole. Many people call such sites "Einstein-Rosen Bridges" or "Wormholes". The shortest distance between two points in this case is not a straight line, but zero. Such a hole can effectively teleport objects that enter it from point A to point B, regardless of the distance, and points A and B do not necessarily have different locations, but can have the same location, but be at different times. In other words, you can move from Earth to another planet of another star system instantly, and not fly for many years at the speed of light. According to general relativity, superluminal speed is impossible until the laws of physics are violated, and inside the Wormhole these laws cease to exist.
Since a complete mathematical description of Wormholes has not yet been formulated, it is quite admissible that such holes exist in the Bermuda Triangle, although they arise in it periodically, therefore they are able to teleport all objects that appear in it to other places in the Universe, or to the same place, but at a different time.
A similar theory arose thanks to Carolyn Casio, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances during a flight. She was a veteran pilot and had the opportunity to vacation in the Bahamas. On June 7, 1964, she flew from Nassau to Grand Turk Island, the largest of the Turks with a high population density. The island has a large number of houses, high-rise buildings, hotels, an airport, that is, the island is quite civilized, but when Casio reached it, she reported by radio that she was lost. She said that the island was the same shape and size as the Grand Turk, but was completely devoid of any signs of human presence. It had only forests and deserted beaches.
Her radio messages were received by Grand Turk Airport, which replied that she was on the correct island and that she could land at any time. She replied that she could not find the airport, although she circled directly above it. She did not hear anything that was transmitted to her, although her radiograms were received. After 30 minutes, she decided to go back where she had come from, and no one else saw her, her plane, or her passengers.
The mathematical theories related to how the Wormhole works have not yet been fully described, so until the existence of such a hole in the Bermuda Triangle is proven, it is too early to say exactly where Casio disappeared. One can only assume that she got to these places, but at a different time, when civilization had not yet come there.
Sunken Island Atlantis
And finally, the most incredible of all explanations for the incidents that take place in the Bermuda Triangle.
The Atlantis theory is based on the discovery of apparently man-made structures near the northwest coast of North Bimini Island, about 80 kilometers from Miami, Florida, submerged in water at a depth of 4.5-6 meters. These structures were named "Dear Bimini" and were discovered by a diver on September 2, 1968. They are made of limestone, have a precise rectangular shape and are stacked together like paving slabs about 800 meters long. There are two more similar structures between this road and the island's beach, which are also made of limestone. The blocks are different in size and range in width from 1.8 to 4 meters. The length of these roads is from 45 to 60 meters.
The rectangular shape of most of the blocks, as well as the fact that they are ordered in a row in straight lines, suggests that these structures were created by human hands. The longer road looks like a wall that could have surrounded North Bimini. Some speculate that Bimini Road is the remains of the sunken island of Atlantis.
Plato suggested that Atlantis existed around 9600 BC, it was more developed technologically, artistically and politically compared to his native Greece, which at the time of Plato (5-4 centuries BC) was the most developed state on the planet. … He wrote that Atlantis was located somewhere in the Gibraltar region and that after a terrible cataclysm, probably a volcanic eruption, in one day the island of Atlantis was wiped off the face of the Earth.
It is possible that somewhere in the Atlantic there was once the aforementioned island, from which the Atlantic Ocean got its name. If Atlantis rests somewhere on its bottom, maybe its civilization was so technically advanced that it could survive even after diving to a depth of several kilometers. Echolocation depth measurements did not reveal any anomalies in the Atlantic Ocean in this area. But if the Atlanteans had a very flat island, it might not be noticed by the sonar equipment.
Atlantean technology could be very advanced, even more than modern, so the inhabitants of Atlantis could protect themselves from water pressure at a depth of 6.5 kilometers, and their descendants can live somewhere under water in the Bermuda Triangle. The activities of this civilization can disrupt electromagnetic fields, sink ships, cause aircraft to fall, and also hide their debris.
