Norwegian physician Carl Pintzka spoke about the method of determining a person's inclinations, depending on the ratio of the lengths of his index and ring fingers. This is reported by the Daily Mail.

If a person's index finger is shorter than the ring finger, the owner of such a hand, as a rule, has a well-developed spatial thinking, and also has a tendency to play sports. In the case when the index finger is longer, the person should have developed verbal memory, in particular, he can easily memorize long lists of words.

The ratio of the lengths of the fingers is influenced by the level of testosterone in the womb. The higher it is, the longer the ring finger is compared to the index finger.

The scientist came to his conclusions by observing 42 women with different levels of testosterone. The scientist's research confirmed the widespread opinion about the role of the ratio of the lengths of the fingers, and also established possible negative consequences for health.

As Pinska notes, high levels of testosterone in the womb are associated with an increased risk of autism and Tourette's syndrome in the newborn. Low hormone levels are associated with the development of anxiety and depression in older age.
