This 19 year old Indian girl is trapped in the body of a young child due to a rare disorder. As a result, she cannot even sit up properly, so her mother has to constantly come to her daughter's aid.
At first glance, the Indian girl Girlija Srinivas seems like a very small child, but in fact she is already 19 years old. This young woman suffers from a rare medical disorder called congenital agenesis of the bones, which has caused her body to stop growing and developing normally. Due to illness, she weighs only 12 kilograms - the same as a normal two-year-old child.
Ghirlija cannot even sit up because her head is too heavy compared to the rest of her body. The girl is unable to lift almost anything, except perhaps a cup of coffee. Doctors have already warned that there is a risk of a neck fracture if she tries to turn her head too quickly. The Indian also has breathing problems.
Due to illness, Girlidge is unable to do the simplest household chores, so her mother takes care of her 24 hours a day. However, the girl does not want to give up, she dreams of a career as an artist, which will allow her to gain independence and even help her parents financially.

“I don’t even like the thought of someone pitying me,” says Girlija. - I am ready to demonstrate to everyone what I am capable of. Mom helps me with food and other things, but when I paint pictures, I do not need anyone's help. I do it myself. I sell 6 paintings a month, which gives from 8,000 to 10,000 rupees (about $ 150). This significantly increases the wealth of our family."
Ghirlija lives with her family in Bangalore, her father works as a tailor, and her mother is fully devoted to caring for her daughter. It is hard for a woman to see a child in such a state, but over the years she has got used to it. Medicine is not able to help victims of congenital agenesis, so Girlija will remain a child for life.
