In Rajasthan, near the border with Pakistan, there is a mysterious abandoned village. It is called Kuldhara. 200 years ago, all its inhabitants disappeared overnight, leaving behind a ghost village. No one saw them leave, and no one understood where they could go.

1,500 inhabitants of the village of Kuldhara simply "evaporated", and with them the villagers from 84 nearby villages in the Thar desert disappeared. The Indians believe that they left behind a curse that brings death to anyone who tries to settle in an abandoned village.

To this day, few people dare to visit this ominous place, and even fewer who would dare to stay overnight in a cursed haunted village. Why the inhabitants left the village so hastily or disappeared is still a mystery.

In the 18th century, the Paliwal brahmanas lived in the village of Kuldhara. Brahmanas or Brahmins are a varna or social group, an analogue of the European clergy, which exists in all states of India and is one of the highest castes.

According to legend, Salim Singh, the ruler of Jaisalmer, had his eyes on a young and beautiful woman from the village and wanted to marry her, leaving her no choice. He gave her only one day to think about it, and if she refused, he threatened to kill all the villagers.

According to legends, the girl's father was the head of this community and he made a decision that all residents should leave their homes in order to avoid the ruler's anger and death. In despair, the whole community in a hurry in the night left their homes, cursing Salim Singh. This curse is valid to this day - so it is believed in India.

Last year, the Delhi's Paranormal Society sent a team of 30 people overnight to this eerie abandoned village. According to their stories, which is generally not surprising, they found mysterious moving shadows there, they were chased by some voices, and some of them even felt the touch of ghosts.

Members of the Paranormal Society also claimed that they recorded sharp increases and decreases in temperature in the village.

According to legends, the Paliwal brahmanas were very wise, they lived in the village of Kuldhara for over 5 centuries. According to the stories of the residents of Jaisalmer, some families made several attempts to settle in the cursed village, but they failed. The narrators were silent about the details of these failures.

The village is overgrown with many legends and rumors. Some of them speak of "chudails" or ghosts that roam the village at night.

Deserted, abandoned buildings are falling into decay. The drawings on the houses look fresh. Were they really drawn 200 years ago? Some of the buildings are very well preserved.
