I found an interesting photograph. It was made in March 1959 in the forest area at a height of 1079. It was there that the search work was going on to find tourists from the group of Igor Dyatlov. A picture was taken in the forest, just opposite the cedar, where the bodies of Krivonischenko and Doroshenko were found.
Interestingly, both tourists were almost naked. They were wearing only underwear and shirts. The guys were so covered with snow that the search engines did not immediately find them.
On the cedar itself, branches were broken off, even at a height of several meters. They say that the guys burned them in the fire. Although all this is rather doubtful. There is also one old legend, which, alas, has no documentary confirmation. It is said that many pieces of human skin were found on the tree trunk. People climbed up the trunk, thus injuring their bodies.
Now this cedar is shown to everyone who came to these places with a group of tourists. This is a kind of place of worship for those who "decided" to unravel the long-standing mystery of this pass.
But in reality this place has not survived. All trees, including the same cedar, were cut down already in March 1959. For this, the investigator Lev Ivanov and the prosecutor of the Ivdel prosecutor's office Tempalov arrived at the place of the search. The process was recorded in a photograph, which then ended up in a criminal case.
I think that in this way the local party bodies destroyed the Mansi religious building. After all, Ivanov and Tempalov perfectly knew the true cause of the death of the group. They understood that it was impossible to leave such evidence, so they destroyed the entire forest around there.
All this makes any visits to this place meaningless, since the place of death of tourists is located in a completely different place than the countless hordes of the so-called. "Woodpeckers".
I believe that it is necessary to stop the commercial use of this place. Since doing your business on such a tragedy is at least not ethical, and simply ridiculous. I would advise everyone else to put in order the graves of the Dyatlovites. Find time, money and desire for this. And the grave of Semyon Zolotarev has long been promised to be transferred to his homeland, to the village of Convenient, Krasnodar Territory. However, now those who promised it have completely forgotten about all their promises. And even Zolotarev's relatives did not find the time to visit his grave. However, they have not been there for 60 years in a row …
