The earth's crust is dissected by a dense network of ancient "scars" - faults. Rocks are constantly moving along them, preventing their "healing". One such fault, passing through Zelenograd near Moscow, has long attracted the attention of geophysicists. His behavior seems not entirely familiar.
And ufologists consider this place one of the largest anomalous zones in Russia, over which ball lightning and UFOs seem to fly.
“The study of the faults near Moscow showed that they lead the most active way of life,” says Valery Rudakov, chief researcher at the Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. - They really live: their width changes several times during the day.
The foundation of Moscow is a geological structure, lowered along the fault lines to a depth of about one and a half to two kilometers. It looks like a huge depression filled with sedimentary rocks, stretching across the entire center of the capital and most of the Moscow region. Moreover, sedimentary rocks seem to float in the water like icebergs in the Arctic Ocean.
But the behavior of the Zelenograd fault, according to the scientist, does not fit into any framework. - At a certain time of the day - usually in the evening - the so-called "cold plasma" is released from the fault, which gradually fills a significant underground territory, and after about one and a half to two hours it begins to slowly recede, "says Rudakov. - What it is is not entirely clear. More than 100 years ago K. E. Tsiolkovsky put forward a hypothesis about the existence of plasma life on the Sun and about the solar sources of life on Earth. In the middle of the last century, scientists made a discovery: similar magnetic-plasma structures (plasmoids) are widespread on Earth.
Their main habitat is the ionosphere, a hot, discharged plasma layer located at an altitude of about 50 km above the Earth. However, apparently, they are present under our feet - deep underground. But how to explain the clear "schedule" of the "plasma" movement, why it "chose" this or that fault - a question that requires the attention of scientists. Probably, here one should look for similarities with the behavior of other, much hotter plasma formations - ball lightning, which to this day remain one of the most intriguing mysteries of science #
While scientists are puzzling over this question, ufologists believe that they have already found the answer. The head of the Zelenograd ufological club Yegor Usachev, who spent half his life studying anomalous faults in the Moscow region, believes that the plasma "settled" here is not accidental. This is a special form of life, possibly more ancient than humanity itself.
“For three years, a group of scientists led by the famous Italian geophysicist Luciano Boccone has been conducting research in the fault zone that runs along the coast of the Gulf of Genoa,” he says. - In their work, scientists used high-precision geophysical instruments capable of recording the slightest changes in the magnetic and radiation fields, and cameras with a highly sensitive infrared film, which allows taking pictures in the spectrum invisible to humans. The use of devices allowed us to open a completely new, invisible world that exists in parallel with ours. The film reflected, in the words of Luciano Boccone, "objects of a plasma nature."

The reality of their existence was confirmed by changes in the readings of geophysical instruments. This plasma life, alien to us, was represented by "creatures of a strange kind: demons, griffins, amoeba-like structures without a definite shape or translucent plasma drops - all these objects glided, galloped in the air at incredible speeds." Something very similar was discovered inside the Khopersky fault by the famous Russian geophysicist from Voronezh, Genrikh Silanov.
So, both researchers came to the conclusion: these mysterious structures are somehow connected with natural disasters - hurricanes, earthquakes, abnormal weather changes, and perhaps even provoke them. I think our rift is their closest relative. According to our interlocutor, the mysterious plasma objects from the Zelenograd fault show great interest in the processes accompanied by the release of energy. If a fire breaks out in the city, they are right there: "creep out" to the surface and hang over the fire.
And over power stations and transformer booths, they simply swarm, like hungry vampires. Any thunderstorm or accident in the city's power supply, as our interlocutor noted, does not pass them by. Either plasmoids feed on this kind of energy, or they generate it themselves # Both that, and another sounds to us, mere mortals, not too reassuring.
- It is quite obvious that the same phenomena occur near the Zelenogradsky and Khopersky faults in Russia and the Genoa Gulf in Italy, - the ufologist says. - We are faced with an unknown form of life that exists on Earth.
But Valery Rudakov believes: - Such conclusions are pure fantasy. There is no reason to think of ball lightning or underground plasma as an intelligent life form. However, this does not make the mentioned phenomena less interesting. If people manage to get closer to deciphering these phenomena, the next step will be to try to "tame" them.
Now in a number of countries, including Russia, breakthrough experiments are underway to create ball lightning in laboratory conditions, and cold plasma has already been obtained and is even used in medicine for sterilization and production of antibiotics. The possibility of using this kind of energy in the future will give humanity, on the verge of a global energy crisis, truly inexhaustible opportunities. And Zelenograd, the city of science, can play an important role here.
