In the summer of 2011, a group of researchers discovered an object of regular hemispherical shape at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. For a long time, ufologists claimed that this is a sunken UFO, which was dubbed Baltic UFO, or Baltic anomaly. But recently, scientists have come to the conclusion that researchers have discovered a natural phenomenon.
For a long time, a strange object located at a depth of 87 meters excited the ufological community. Oceanographers from Sweden even conducted a scientific expedition, the materials of which even more instilled hope that the object belongs to an extraterrestrial civilization.
Opponents of the alien version argued that humanity has acquired yet another evidence of the existence of the civilization of the ancient Atlanteans. And the hemisphere is nothing more than the dome of a pagan temple with a history of fourteen thousand years
But all these versions were recently refuted by a geologist from Stockholm University Volker Bruchert. Having studied the samples of rocks from the Baltic anomaly, he came to a simple but reasoned conclusion. The UFO is nothing more than a piece of basalt brought by the glacier and polished by the sea.
