A truly mystical incident occurred in Italy. An ATR 72 passenger plane, flying from the Italian city of Ancona to Rome, was forced to make an emergency landing after being struck by lightning. The vessel has failed one of two engines. But that was not what scared several dozen passengers.

After the incident, the captain of the ship made a decision to land at the Leonardo da Vinci airport in the vicinity of Rome. In total there were over 50 people on board the ATR 72. None of them were injured in the incident.
For the second day in Italy, bad weather has been raging. Heavy thunderstorms and rainstorms have disrupted transport links and closed many institutions.
