Everett immediately rushed to send the mysterious photo to his colleague Shelley Ballard, who also participated in the hike, and the woman said that the author probably managed to photograph a real ghost in the forest. “It looks very creepy. Some deathly, completely lifeless face looks in a different direction than children. You might think that someone sneaked up from behind and took a picture with the students for a joke, but then Zak would have seen this person,”says Ballard.
The local WTPR TV channel even spoke about the mysterious photo with the phantom. After that, several people called the studio who suggested that the photograph captured the spirit of a soldier during the American Civil War of 1861-1865. At that time, bloody battles took place in Dinuiddi, so one can really assume that this is a phantom of a warrior who fell in battle.
